Very well appointed apartment. I could have cooked up a storm with all the equipment provided. The gas fireplace was a bonus as it was chilly outside. Didn’t use the hot tub, but would be lovely on a better day!
The front desk were so friendly.
The weather didn’t cooperate for our stay but on a nice day sitting there watching the activity on the water….priceless. If you are thinking of visiting Ucluelet or Tofino stay at Waters Edge, very comfortable.

We loved our stay at the waters edge overlooking the harbour our room included a full kitchen that we definitely took advantage of and cook dinner and breakfast in well enjoying the view. The outdoor tub was an amazing feature we enjoyed a soak at night next to the full moon! The rooms were sparking clean and had everything we needed to feel at home, the bath tub in the bathroom was massive and so deep, being a bath person I adored both tubs! We thought we booked a pet friendly room over Expedia but we never confirmed our pets before checking in and they were still able to accommodate us last minute. Great customer service and atmosphere around the buildings, will definitely be back again!

Beautiful sights near the suites, we watched over 5 eagles feeding and nesting just off our balcony. The personal jetted tubs were a godsend and the suites are very well kept and sound proof. We really enjoyed our time and would happily come back to this spot to relax in future! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Hello jessicapt1713, thank you for choosing Waters Edge and sharing your fabulous 5 star review! Heartwarming to know you had an awesome visit and enjoyed the local wildlife show from your balcony... were you watching while relaxing in the personal outdoor tub? ;) The eagles are glorious and we are fortunate they feel safe enough to nest in the trees around here. Did you see/hear sea lions too? They are often hanging around and offering some free entertainment of there own! Thanks again for sharing and making Waters Edge your place to relax on the west coast. Cheers from Ucluelet and we look forward to having you join us again soon :) Kim Foster, Guest Relations Manager

My husband and I arrived really looking forward to a couple nights stay at what appeared to be from the outside a lovely resort. The reviews read as very good with the odd negative one so we splurged. What a
disappointment when we walked in - absolutely " blah " in character !! It was the most uninviting suite we have ever stayed in. How could the owner and management not see how dull and impersonal it is .
Here are the negatives :
There were 2 extra low end tables but no lamps . We couldn't read in the afternoon let alone in the evening . The small TV is sitting on a large ugly obtrusive black laquer 3 level stand that doesn't even fit the all wood furniture character. It really all dated and well worn , probably the original furniture package from around 2004 when it opened. Sorry to go on and on but it was a big disappointment. The bedroom has new headboard amd night stands but the lamps are so small and low they don't provide any light if you want to read. There is no dresser or ANYWHERE to put closes except on the floor !

The bathroom has no vanity or storage on which to put cosmetic bag and personal items . Minimal surface area. No towel hooks anywhere to put wet towels let alone hand towels . Only 1 small towel bar.

The kitchen was definitely not well stocked. The housewares would not suffice to make a full dinner for us let alone for friends. There are so many basic utensils missing from serving spoons and forks , spatula ,decent pots and pans with lids ! steak knives , bread knives, roasting pan , cookie sheet that doesn't have rust right through it , bowl for salad , bowls for dips , chips , to serve vegetables/ dinner , no scissors , no dish rack, can opener ,no placemats or coasters for table to put hot dishes or dinner plates on so as a result table surface looks awful and it goes on !

It doesn't take much to at least get some westcoast wood art plaques that say " relax at the beach ", put some color and fun on the walls or something like that and some
functioning lamps .
The wood planking outside the front door is lifting and makes noises when walked on .

The TV doesn't appear to be " smart" so don't expect to be able to watch Netflix or anything like that ! It uses Telus optic .

For Christmas this year we gave our kids a weekend getaway. We all love the west coast of Vancouver Island so this was a no brainer for a gift. We booked 3 pet friendly King suites because everyone travels in our family even the dogs! The rooms were huge and very well appointed. The beds were super comfy and the views out the windows were great. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked a full on prime rib dinner for 6 one night. We found the rooms very quiet and off set just enough from the next one so privacy was very nice. The fireplace was an added bonus for esthetics but definitely didn't need it for warmth as the rooms were very cozy without it on. I would definitely book here again for another family get away.

Free local entertainment right from the comfort of your condo suite to go with your spectacular prime rib dinner! There is a long list of items that went wrong for this place, and I will spare you the fine details. To keep it short, this 'resort' is not as advertised. If you can get a 'cheap' room, the price might be worth the stay, but overall this 'resort' has a long way to go before it can claim they have 'Luxury' or 'Deluxe' suites.

As we had a ground floor suite, one of the biggest issues encountered was the amount of noise transfer from the upstairs unit. I've never encountered a 'resort' suite that was so loud - due to the noice from upstairs.

Our stay was very disappointing, and I'm sure someone from the resort will respond with some lame excuse on how they will try to do better. In short, I think they just copy and paste the same response to critical reviews. I did email management about our issues, but have yet to receive a response.

A decent place to get away for the weekend. The suites come with a full kitchen which is great if you bring some breakfast stuff and feel like dining in one night. Beds are pretty comfy. Kitchens are pretty bare with the very skinny essentials. One pan, couple of pots, that's about it for cooking. Also had one roll of TP for our whole weekend there. Heard pitter patter footsteps above us pretty early so if you want soundproof places, this isn't for you. Also very warm in the suites, even when cool outside and no heaters on. Had to open windows to cool us down.

Hello gwt75 and thanks for sharing! Grateful you chose us for your west coast retreat and fantastic to know you had a pretty decent time ;) Did you have a deluxe suite with the outdoor jetted tub for two? The perfect spot to relax and enjoy some star gazing at the end of the day! Did you have an opportunity to use the kitchen? Extra items are available by request and just the basics are left in the suites right now. We have highlighted these changes in our confirmations and have extra staff on hand for deliveries to your door - bigger pots and pans, mixing bowls, blenders, irons, towels, soap... light bulbs - just ask :) The windows in the suites are perfect for viewing the wildlife outside, but they also let in a lot of sun in the day. The temperatures cool off quickly in the evenings and opening both doors for a few minutes is usually the perfect solution. Hope this worked for you and is not enough to keep you away! Thanks for spending your weekend retreat with us gwt75 and our team looks forward to welcoming you again. Cheers from everyone at Waters Edge, Kim Foster, Guest Relations Manager

Stayed on long weekend of July /August not sure what I was expecting when I booked back in May through Expedia- 3 nights at 1500.00 but it wasn’t the updated hotel I expected. With it being Covid time, there was no contact from front desk during the stay. Had to drop keys at door when leaving. I found this very in personable. A call from the front desk would be nice.
We had a room facing the harbour and could watch the boats coming and leaving. That was relaxing. The hotel room was a one bedroom, fan on a stand only. No screen on windows. Bed was not too comfortable and too small, not the restful sleeps I was looking forward to. Kitchen tap was loose, Fridge worked, not sure of oven or microwave. We didn’t use it. To walk around the board walk it’s at your own risk, very old and needs updating.
I usually don’t like to complain but we really should have stayed at the Black Rock resort, now that place was worth paying the higher price. Next time?

There aren't too many hotels in Ucluelet so while this place was a bit pricey, it was well worth it. The suites are very comfortable and have AMAZING views. I was also very impressed with the staff, and how everything is so thought out - they communicate right away that we don't need to check out at the desk, but just return the keys in the box, and they provide useful information for everything within the room.

They're very TINY details, but it just shows that they've put extra thought into communicating these things to guests, which goes a long way.

My husband and I have visited Water's Edge Resort three times now, and each visit has been wonderful. It is such a cozy place to stay with the fireplace, outdoor jetted soaker tub, beautiful water view, and complementary candles provided in the suite. We also had a full kitchen during the last visit which was great. We wanted to limit our dining out this trip due to covid, even though Tofino and Ucluelet have so many wonderful restaurants. I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable "home away from home". We didn't want to leave!

Hello Amy and thanks for sharing your fabulous review! Grateful you chose Waters Edge ( 3 Times!) and thrilled with your high recommendation! The fireplaces are wonderful for a little ambiance, the skies are darker here making the stars brighter (best enjoyed from the outdoor jetted tub); and the sounds of the water gently lapping against the shore are the best lullaby ;) Thrilled you used the kitchen! Every suite has a full kitchen and we are able to supply more items as needed - just call the front desk if you need an electric mixer, larger pot, blender, soap, towels... light bulb! So next time you can just move right in ;) Thanks again amygE9287MP, cheers from the entire Waters Edge Team and we look forward to your next visit :) Kim Foster, Guest Relations Manager

Hello, the tub and deck are simple. You have wooden deck with tub on many (but not all) suites, all facing the water. The tub accommodates two adults with faucet and pull-away showerhead. There are no jets as you'd expect from a jacuzzi. It is a tub on the balcony and you may need to clean some debris prior to stepping in to use. There is reasonable visual privacy from neighbours beside. For some ground floor suites, there is a privacy barrier of shrubs; therefore, some views of the inlet are expected to be obstructed.
