Considering a motel this is pretty good, comfortable and convenient location. We found everything needed including plates, glasses, toaster, etc. and stayed for 5 days. One night there were some issues with the cold water, but fixed in the morning.
very friendly and welcoming guest service. Overall positive and enjoyable experience.

Very basic room. We stayed 2 days. Spent a minimal time in the room so it served us fine.

No fridge. No microwave. Keurig in room but only supplies 2 keurig cups and it made a meh cup of coffee (would be simpler to have a 13$ 4cup karafe coffee maker honestly)

Large TV with telus optik. We didn't find it noisy but we were on an end room.

Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Shower took several minutes to get warm and the perfect temperature was on its hottest setting. Dated motel but front staff were friendly enough.

Clean, spacious, and good value hotel in the heart of Ucluelet.

We had a family room which was large with a fridge and microwave, along with a bathroom with a shower unit over a bath. It was comfortable without being luxurious, but as it was a base for day trips and somewhere to sleep, that was fine.

The staff are really good and always asking if we needed anything....this is a long standing family run hotel and they wanted to make their guests as comfortable as possible.

The location is really good for the town....very close to bars, restaurants, bottle shops, and supermarkets.

We stayed 2 nights as we were doing a 2 day fishing trip out of Ucluelet and Tofino. The Motel was old and somewhat dated, but the room was clean. Beds were small and not very comfortable for 4 guys though! Due to Covid-19 there was no housekeeping services, and we found it very odd that they even took out the coffee maker in the room, so for our early morning fishing charter we had no coffee? When we asked the owner he told us they had to do that for the Covid-19 health orders, but other motels we stayed at in Vancouver and Victoria all had coffee in the rooms! To us it seemed kind of price gougy and taking advantage of the pandemic protocols with a bit too liberal of an interpretation! It would have been nice to see this property drop their prices with local travelers (BC Only), as we were told that many businesses in Ucluelet have lost upwards of 80% of their summer due to no Americans allowed to come up? Might be wise to try and cater to locals (BC residents) for a change and see if that can carry you through the lean times?

Stayed at this motel twice last week. Room was very clean, had a nice view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is in easy walking distance to local attractions and very good restaurants. It was also very quiet.....didn't hear any traffic from nearby road.

When online motel booking messed up my reservation. The motel, Dario to be specific did his upmost go solve the problem and keep me in the room I was in. What started as a stressful situation for this senior was professionally handled by Dario. During the time of Covid a good choice.

Pleasant stay at the Pacific Rim. Room was clean and functional. No complaints. Loved the coffee machine. Easy check in/out. Good location pretty much in the centre of town. Supermarket nearby. Great food and drink places a short walk away.

Tourist season on the western shore means you pay and arm and a leg for lodging. This motel will let you choose either the arm or the leg. Seriously, the rooms are reasonable "for the location". The big negative is the walls seem to be made out of paper. We could clearly hear the TV in the room next door. If noise is big concern for you, this is not the place to go. The other issue is the wireless. While free, there is only one access point, so the father your room is from the office, the less likely you will get service. Our room was far enough away we could connect, but not get any traffic, so we had to go outside by the office to get a decent connection.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Upon arrival I witnessed the gentleman at the front desk interact with a young guest. The young woman was about 15 years old and had been sent by her parents to ask the gentleman at the front desk for some towels to accommodate their party of 4 as only 2 sets had been placed in the room. I understand that in small places not everything is done on the same time frame as the Hilton or Fairmont, but I cannot excuse his condescending response to the young lady, a sarcastic berating " I told you that I would take care of it in 10 minutes."
I got to my non air conditioned room only to find that there was no screen on the one window that opened to let air in without bugs. After witnessing the episode at the front desk I knew better than to ask for a screen for my window if towels were an issue. Everything was the cheapest possible product from the soap, no refrigerator, to the low flow shower head. I guess what sealed the deal for us was the single ply toilet paper. We couldn't help but laugh at the absurd cheapness applied to procurement and managing. We stayed at a small motel in Port Alberni the night before and the contrast was like night and day. I wouldn't board my dog at the Pacific Rim Hotel. I cant even say it was comfortable, the mattress was hard and the pillows thin and seemly of Walmart grade. It would have been maddening if not so down right offensive.

Our group booked 3 double rooms, each with 2 beds in March of 2015 for the night of Aug. 10, 2015. (well in advance due to high season and limited accommodations in Ucluelet). Called in person on July 31, 2015 to cancel 1 room, and confirm that we still needed 2 rooms. On arrival to check in, were informed that they had no record of our reservation, despite exchange of emails both making the reservation, and confirming reservations. Manager's response "sorry about that, we only have one room left with a single queen bed, these things happen." One queen room for 4 adults NOT IMPRESSED! If you have to book here, do it thru a booking site, don't do it thru the link on their web site.
