Our boutique hotel is located in the heart of the village of Ucluelet, behind the restaurant and beside our backyard kitchen garden. With a great central location and garden views, our rooms are perfectly situated to explore Ucluelet, the Wild Pacific Trail, Pacific Rim National Park and Tofino. Opened in July 2019 and built with the utmost care and attention, our boutique hotel rooms are spacious, at just over 400sq ft, and comfortable. With just four rooms, we offer a personal and intimate West Coast experience where we invite you to come for dinner, spend the night, and enjoy breakfast on us. Breakfast is delivered each morning before you wake up, and can be found in a chilled cooler outside your door, to be enjoyed in your cozy armchairs in front of the window or out on the deck beside the garden. All house made and prepared fresh for you, our breakfast includes baked goods, granola, fruit, yoghurt, cheese and juice, and is entirely gluten free. You will find Foggy Bean coffee (roasted right here in Ucluelet) for your Le Creuset french press and Tea Leaves luxury tea in your room, with milk and cream in your refrigerator. Rooms are furnished in coastal tones of greys and greens, with some fun features and unique design elements. We were lucky enough to work with some amazing artists, so you might find a moss art piece by Heather March, a canvas photograph by Isaac Shaw or a textile weaving by Diane Rudge in your room. Furniture was mostly made by Chad Miles in Port Alberni and the care and craftmanship is evident in his work. Each room features a king size bed, walk in rainforest shower, air conditioning, cable tv, wifi, tea + coffee making facilities and a private balcony. On our kitchen garden level, the two rooms are accessible via a ramp, with one room fully wheelchair accessible with a roll in shower and suitable bathroom fixtures. These rooms look out over some beautiful Japanese maples and fruit trees, towards the tall cedar and hemlock trees at the back of our property. Our two rooftop garden level rooms take you up a flight of stairs past our rooftop kitchen garden, where we grow herbs and flowers for use in the restaurant, and look in the same direction as the rooms below. Being in the village centre there is some hustle and bustle around us, and our neighbours can sometimes get a bit rowdy, but each room is well insulated and remains a quiet oasis in the centre of town. Our rooms are designed to comfortably accommodate two adults. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate groups of three or four guests in one room, so if travelling in a larger group, please be sure to reserve the correct number of rooms. Our rooms are available for adults and children over 12. If travelling to the area as a family and wishing to join us for dinner, we are happy to welcome younger children in the restaurant who will enjoy our full dining experience. We offer pet friendly accommodation in our kitchen garden level rooms so your furry friend can enjoy a visit to the West Coast with you. Pet rooms must be confirmed in advance, so if you are thinking of making a reservation for you and your pet (or bringing your dog, cat or parrot with you for an existing reservation), please call us to confirm. For the comfort of all guests we do not allow pets into our other guest rooms, so should you arrive with an unexpected friend and our pet room is not available, they will have to find themselves alternative accommodation!

An amazing stay! From the delightful, continental breakfast delivered right to your door early in the morning, to the brand new, beautifully decorated rooms and the huge, cozy and most comfortable bed ever (honestly, haven't slept that well in weeks!), Pluvio was a treat in every single way!
Owners, Warren and Lily, have absolutely thought of everything: locally sourced soaps and shampoo, heated bathroom floors, a giant bedroom and bathroom and even a little monster you can purchase for the kids. All this, and I haven't even mentioned one of the most amazing dining experiences just down the stairs! You are guaranteed to fill your belly with a rich, delectable cuisine and crawl back full and satisfied to a comfortable, amazing room. I absolutely cannot wait to get back to Pluvio!

We’ve been home for several days and I can’t stop raving about our wonderful experience at the Pluvio, which was a definite highlight of our trip. We were sad to have given up our ocean view at another resort but everything the Pluvio offered more than made up for it! We enjoyed an amazing dinner at their restaurant the previous night and had such a wonderful experience that we were very excited to see what their accommodations had in store and it did not disappoint. The room was beautifully decorated, immaculate and inviting. Attention was paid to all the small details that added to our stay including heated tiled floors, fleece blanket and locally sourced Tofino soap products. We were welcomed with coffee in a French press, cookies and a handwritten welcome note. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms were quiet and if it couldn’t get any better, each morning we found a wonderful breakfast cooler outside our door. It was complete with juice, pastries, fruit, granola and yogurt and mini omelettes. The owners Warren and Lily and their staff were so warm, welcoming and really made our stay memorable. We can hardly wait to come back! Hopefully we will still be able to book a room after telling all of our friends about this gem of Vancouver Island.

We were able to treat ourselves to a mini staycation at Pluvio restaurant & rooms!
The room was so beautiful and definitely west coast inspired...from the wallpaper, to the local photography & moss art throughout. Lily & Warren thought of every little detail that their guests would love and appreciate! Welcome snacks & a personalized letter, local coffee, breakfast outside your door the next morning. Also since the pet friendly room was available, our dog joined us and he was just as spoiled as we were!

Being “pluviophiled” is the experience you will be treated to should you visit Ucluelet and stay at Pluvio Rooms. The spacious rooms are immaculately clean, comfortable in every aspect. Centrally located within easy walking distance of everything you will want to see in Ucluelet, Pluvio Rooms are nestled behind the restaurant where your private garden facing patio will be the perfect spot to enjoy the deluxe continental breakfast which is delivered to your door each morning to be enjoyed at your leisure; fresh baked muffins, savory corn loaf, fresh fruit, juice, and a French Press loaded with coffee from the local Foggy Bean Coffee Company.
Be sure to make advance reservations at the Pluvio Restaurant where the chef and his team create the best meals to be found anywhere, with a focus on local sourced ingredients.
Thank you Warren and Lilly for the wonderful experience and for the detailed processes you have put in place to keep us safe during these COVID times.

We are looking forward to our next visit already!

We took a brief trip to Ucluelet and Tofino this past week. We started in Ukie at Pluvio for a chef’s tasting menu dinner and a stay at the rooms behind the restaurant. The rooms are super nice....really well appointed and very comfortable. They are equipped with everything you would need for a few nights and the breakfast box had a lot of great choices for breakfast in your room. The restaurant for dinner was amazing....well presented, prepared and super delicious food was served by attentive staff. All in all a great experience. We will be back. Thanks to everyone at Pluvio Restaurant and Rooms!

Check in was easy and the location is good for exploring the village and surrounding area. The rooms are attractive and with attractive design and finishing. The bed very comfortable. Each of the 4 rooms is for 2 people only and each has a deck or patio off the main road wth parking in the rear. A nicely appointed and spacious bathroom. Breakfast is provided the afternoon before with a savoury dish of cottage cheese, tomatoes and half a hard boiled egg per person in a storage bowl, containers of yogurt, fruit and granola all stored individually, milk, cream and tea and coffee makings. The food is prepared in the Pluvio restaurant kitchens, the coffee is locally roasted (and very good) and the tea is from Vancouver. A very pleasant and comfortable stay. My only suggestions are that the bathroom door is solid, not hollow, and it is heavy. It doesn’t slide as easily as it could and having a handle on either side for ease of opening would be nice. The tea, while a nice product, has a synthetic tea bag and these are not compostable. I am sure the restaurant composts food scraps and it would be nice if any food from the breakfasts could be composted and the tea bags and coffee grounds (a French press pot is provided) .

Pluvio is a world class restaurant that I’ve had the fortune of dining in several times since they opened and now I’ve had the chance to stay in one of their boutique rooms and it did not disappoint!!! Room was spacious, modern, clean, the MOST comfortable bed and a sweet little garden balcony to enjoy morning coffee (weather permitting). The attention to detail did not go unnoticed- the hand written welcome note with fresh cookies, the dog bed/ dishes left out for my furry friend, beautiful breakfast included (which was more than enough food for me!). Check in was seamless and staff were attentive and very good at making you feel special during your stay.
I would highly recommend staying here if you want something high quality at a fraction of the cost of bigger waterfront resort in the area. I’ve stayed there as well and can assure you the bed at Pluvio is 100 times more comfortable and the room is a welcome retreat whether it’s a cozy rainy day in, or something to come home to after a day of exploration.
Looking forward to my next visit!

It’s taken me 6 months to get around to writing this review but the memory is still as fresh as the beautiful linen on the incredibly comfortable bed! Every detail is thought through and even one night here leaves you feeling thoroughly pampered, rested and restored (though a few days would be even better). The breakfast box (made in the exceptional Pluvio restaurant kitchen) is a genius touch, letting you stay in your thick white robe, looking out onto the kitchen garden and woods beyond, as you slowly start your day. Then the shower. OMG. As you can probably tell, I really did not want to leave. Lily and Warren have created a real haven of good taste and comfort in this stunning little corner of Vancouver Island and you’d be a fool to miss out!

We came across Pluvio by accident, and it was a great accident. This tiny boutique hotel has only 4 rooms. The rooms may be be minimalistic (in looks only), but they are modern, spacious, comfortable and clean. There are even stuffed monsters for a good cuddle. A gourmet cold breakfast is provided in the fridge in the room. There are ample coffees (French press) and teas provided.
The Pluvio restaurant is a "must" as it has rightly earned a name as the best restaurant in town. We met Lily who is a co-owner with Warren. They run a great operation and wish them success. My husband and I for sure will be back.

Went to Ucluelet to meet up with some friends and do some some storm watching. Couldn’t be happier with the rooms at Pluvio.
Right on the main road, easy walking distance to everything in town and the Wild Pacific Trail.
Rooms are spacious, bright and very well appointed with great attention to detail and thoughtful little touches. Luxurious without being pretentious. The proprietors have done a great job setting this up.
