Spent two nights at the Portway and have to say that we had a lovely experience. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast excellent and hearty enough to see you through a busy day. Also had an evening meal which again did not disappoint. Beautiful meal, but unfortunately not enough room for dessert! Finally a big thank you...

Chose this place on a booking site for its good reviews and also they had a special offer on. After shopping in Hereford for the day, a lovely welcome was waiting for us at the Portway Inn. A lovely old coaching inn,not far from Hereford town centre. A lovely cosy pub, with a roaring fire. Our room was lovely. A very...

We went here for an evening meal - The restaurant is quite basic, but the staff were very friendly - We had a good hearty meal (nothing fancy) but very good - We would definitely go back there if we are in that area again.

Ate here this weekend with friends and was a little dubious when we entered as the place was really quiet. However, the staff were very friendly, easily accommodated out changes to the menu and made recommendations to aid our choices. They offer traditional Sunday lunch, the beef was well cooked, not over which you often expect, the pork was moist...

Staff were really welcoming as were the locals. Booked 2 rooms as there were 5 of us in total. A lovely clean and comfortable double room for myself and boyfriend and a very spacious family room for my 3 kids; I say kids, they're 18,16 and 14. We were only there for 1 night and we arrived late so we...

We stopped off on our journey home from Fishguard, so arrived a little after 7 on a Sunday. We were very pleased that the Sunday roast was still available. Our meals came quickly and were very nice indeed. The staff were pleasant and friendly and we felt very welcomed.

Have stayed here before and have never been disappointed. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfy and spotless. Have to say the food is amazing - not least the delicious breakfast - and seems to get better and better! Complements to the kitchen team. Can't recommend more highly

Sunday lunch for a party of 7 adults - very, very enjoyable. We will be back! The food was scrummy - delicious roast beef, and real gravy, of the best kind. The staff were so nice, and very professional - an true credit to the establishment. Thank you!

This was a really old place which had been refurbished very sensitively and lost none of its charm. The room was comfortable and quaint and the staff were friendly and helpful. What really gave it the edge though was the food. It was fantastic. The breakfasts were top quality and the meals in the evening were some of the best...
