My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful stay on Bowen Island at the Union Steamship Marina and Cottages. We rented the Summer House which is absolutely amazing. Huge Kitchen, Lounge, Dining Room and beautiful double bedroom upstairs with toilet en suite. There was also a delightful spare bedroom downstairs with two single beds. Our stay was nothing...

Having visited this marina many times on our sailboat, we headed south this week into the gulf islands. After staying at several different marinas, some of which tout themselves as "resorts", we unanimously agree that the Union SteamShip Company Marina is THE BEST one we have had the privilege to visit. The staff is fabulous and the facilities are wonderfully...

We love bringing our boat here. Beautiful area and reasonable moorage rates for amenities received. From ice cream in the evening, to great restaurants, to the regional park with trails nearby, and awesome scenery, this place is easy to enjoy. As usual, we'll be back!

This marina is an absolute blast. An easy trip if you are boating over from Vancouver, great overnight. Showers cost a loonie but they are very nice. Incredible views and atmosphere. Good central location at the heart of snug cove. They can be a little disorganized when you are booking a reservation, but other than that, this place is the...

Last summer we rented a cabin, this year we all of them were booked during the weekend we wanted to go so we rented the loft instead. It was a fantastic room, the downstairs had a great kitchenette and a comfortable couch, and the upstairs had two skylights and a lot of privacy. The place has a great relaxed feel,...

Before I start I will say that I am a wannabe sailor and do stay in marinas when occasionally weekending on a friend's boat So my high rating is because I love the rocking motion and boat views from this floating cottage. The cottage itself is a few decades old but well finished and furnished and clean. My wife, who...

Small group trip to Bowen Island was nice in this old-fashioned (built in 1920s) cottage with 2 bedrooms and kitchen, and the view from the deck was actually quite gorgeous, of snug cove and surrounding gardens. Morning coffee for all was a 5 minute stroll away at a popular, local café which also serves breakfast and has free Wi-Fi.

We have stayed in one the cabins several times with our two kids. We've thoroughly enjoyed the great location and the marina views. The cabin was within walking distance of restaurants, the ice cream shop, grocery store with a great hike nearby. Beautiful views of the marina from the deck. The kids loved the nearby candy shop as well. Cabin...

While the idea of staying in your own float home in the cove sounds very romantic we were sadly disappointed with it's location. It was about 200yds from the car ferry that starts loading at 5 am for Vancouver and left hourly until evening. We could hear every car loading as well as taking in the exhaust fumes in the...

You will glad to hear the furniture and BBQ have all been updated. The Float House is one of our most popular rental cottages, but it is an active marina. I would suggest trying one of our other cottages set back from the marina in the future. Cheers

We rented cabin #2 over the Canada Day holiday weekend. After checking in, we settled in. There was a bedroom with queen bed and a second bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds: each with double on the bottom and singles on the top. All the linens and beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower...
