Only needed this room to sleep. The lady I dealt with was extremely prompt with response time and friendly. When we arrived at 1030pm we noticed there was no air-conditioning. For how hot it gets in the lower mainland we were surprised and disappointed as it was still very warm out. There was a fan which we set up in...

This is a no frills motel with very dated (aesthetically) furniture, but very clean and overall a nice place to stay, in no small part due to its nice location not far from the harbor front in Horseshoe Bay. When we had people in the room next door, we could clearly hear their goings on. The walls are thin. We...

Location is what makes this a good choice. It's right in the centre of Horseshoe Bay within walking distance of a number of restaurants. The area itself is lovely overlooking Howe Sound. The motel is no more than average. Clean slightly old fashioned rooms, some with views of the lake. Free parking.

Stayed one night before getting the ferry to Nanaimo. The motel was very clean and the room very comfortable. It does need modernising and freshening up, decoration is a tad dark and dated, easy parking and access to the few shops and restaurants make it ideal for a stop over

The location is definitely the main benefit of staying here. Check in was slow, the wifi was slow, but the staff was friendly and the room was nice. A neat mix of antique furniture and a great view of Horseshoe bay from the room. No a/c, but it wouldn't be needed most of the year in Horseshoe Bay--we happened to...

Most guests come here before a ferry getaway to Vancouver Island or the Sunshine Coast. We planned a stop after a ferry crossing to avoid staying in downtown Vancouver. Large rooms, large bathrooms, coffee/tea and fridge as advertised. A bit noisy. Huge comfy bed. Room a bit crowded - fitted carpet; bed cushions, coverlet and spare pillows all have to...

Last night it was 30 degrees outside - and guess what it was inside? You got it, the exact same thing. This hotel has NO air conditioning whatsoever, and only a small fan which does nothing but blow the hot air around faster. The windows, additionally, are too small to make a different to the heat. Unsurprisingly, no one in...

Wonderful stay! Immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, fluffy towels, quiet, and great suggestions for food and sights from desk clerk, Celine. This is not a "fancy" facility, but the great attention to detail made our stay outstanding. Thank you, Horseshoe Bay Motel!

It is an older motel tucked into a portion of a city block a block from the waterfront. Parking is tight but seems to cover most rooms. It has had upgrades and was quite clean and organized. The biggest negative was no AC and the room was quite warm when we arrived. They have a triple decker fan in the...

A normal hotel, but the location is excellent. Close to the waterfront & restaurants. The furniture was unexpected, being ornate, old style & darkish wood. Convenient for the ferry, but you need to go back to the highway, about a 15 min trip. Fill up with fuel before you get there as I could not find one in the town.
