The hotel is beautiful, absolutely stunning. The people are fantastic and, the kids club especially, is incredible.
But when I checked out the IT systems were down so they took my credit card details and agreed to send me the bill, then charge the card,...More

While I could complain about not getting a status upgrade or better cheaper food you kind of have to expect those things from a hotel. I'm just thankful the hotel let me book with points. It's an incredible property designed amazingly well. Every angle is...More

Hi - I've been going to the Intercont since it opened, and stayed at Momi this year, so know how you feel :) It's very nice. The hotel style rooms are more for the families with kids, but if you want a quiet / private area, I would recommend any of the duplex bures. If you want direct water access (guaranteed) you're better to go with the lagoon front. Not all the ocean bures have direct (as in walk-in) water access. The beach is not as 'surf-like' as Natadola, but it's really lovely (can only really be accessed by the beach front rooms though). The lagoon is very nice though, and not very different to the beach except that it's more in the centre of the resort. For me, I wouldn't stay in the overwater bungalows, only because I couldn't work out which would be the best side for sun access (which I wanted plenty of). Oh - and the food at Momi is MUCH MUCH better. There are only 3 places to eat, really, but they change the menu from lunch to dinner so there's a lot of variety. There aren't any shops close by (just a local village shop, but it hasn't got much), so my advice is buy duty free alcohol at the airport on the way in and stop somewhere in the city to get soft drinks if you want that sort of thing. We really enjoyed it and found you can make it quite private if you want to, or you can socialise more. All of that and the price difference, I would now choose Momi over the Intercont every time (unless the Intercont had some kind of MAJOR deal on). OH - also the Intercont doesn't do the dining discount card any more where the Marriott does, so you'll same some $ there too. :) Definitely nothing to worry about - it's not like staying at Denarau. I hope you enjoy it! :)

If you do visit make a stop at the Momi Battery near by for amazing views and some cool WWII history associated to Fiji.

"For kids, get a beach Bungalow on the lagoon, for couples ~ Ocean Front. #2005 was brillant."
