I made the most out of the weekend and came away feeling like I had been unplugged from 'real life for a week. The spa treatments were worth every penny. The infinity pools and the exercise sessions were really enjoyable. Highly recommended!

What a incredible experience. I did the 5 day Optimum Wellbeing and I left feeling so rejuvenated, relaxed and refreshed. Gwinganna is the most amazing property that feels like you're living in a village - incredible ethos, lived in the moment, met amazing people (both staff and guests), challenged myself some days and nurtured myself others. The program gives you the flexibility to engage how best suits you, and live in the moment. Had the most fabulous food, great conversation, great activities and great spa treatments. The facilities are excellent. I went solo and totally recommend it - it was a bit out-of-my-comfort-zone at first but I made some wonderful new friends! I want to make this a yearly occurrence to detox and recharge!

Gwinganna is heaven. Its influence on my wellbeing is ongoing. The 5 day wellness retreat helped shift stuck eating, caffeine and electronic habits, as well as elevate exercise levels in a natural setting with real wildlife. The gardens are glorious, the heritage buildings quirky. There are real koalas in the trees and wild ducks in the pond. Some trees are ancient. Seeing a bandicoot up close was interesting too. The staff set the positive tone and guests rose to it as a community. Beginning each morning with Qi Gong overlooking the rim of the mountain was inspirational. We were swamped for choice of activity. Should one meditate, stretch or do a traditional gym class? Each day included useful talks on resilience, diet and health. Swims in a magnesium and rainwater infinity pool were sublime. Wise nutritionists have separated the nutritional gold from fads. They support each guests' health journey with time tested herb teas, fruit and apple cider vinegar shots. Attentive naturopaths help through caffeine or sugar withdrawal and the effects of a balanced gluten free diet. The food is consistently vibrant, diverse, nourishing, delicious, organic and generous. My own cooking style has changed as a result. Yet I lost a little weight and gained muscle. This has continued at home. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of holistic, fitness, naturopathic & spiritual wisdom with some wonderful spa pampering. The organic methods applied at Gwinganna also lead to better ecological practices at home. Respite from online addiction gives perspective. The deep tissue massage was memorable. I came to relax, but left wiser, more active, more socially engaged and aware. The Billabong suite was a peaceful combination of over-the-top luxury combined with commonsense ecology and the natural hum of frogs.
