An oasis and jewel of Kilkivan. What a wonderful, relaxing and friendly way to spend a couple of days cycling, in the Gympie hinterland. The B&B is a country villa and dates back to 1912. The period decor and fittings, 12 ft cielings of pressed metal and open air feel of the huge verandahs, contributed to the relaxed feel of our 2 day getaway. Rosie, our hostess/owner is just so warm and inviting. The grounds are expansive and though very dry (due to the lack of rain since May) was alive with parrots, cockatoos and apostle birds. Kangaroos presented in the mornings. Our dinner in the period dining room was prepared by Steve her partner, and we finished off with lemon delicious pudding (by Rosie). The whole dinner was fabulous and the wine and conversation flowed easily. The next morning, Rosie prepared a very hearty breakfast and it was just what we needed, for the 60 km ride before us. We returned from our Rail Trail at about 4pm and after a well earnt shower we were treated with pre-dinner nibbles and drinks...how wonderful. The next day, we rode to Rosie's other property (Creek Bend), a distance of approz 10kms. Creek Bend is a 4/5 bedroom contemporary house which sits on top of an escarpment and onverlooks the Wide Bay Creek and farmlands. Beautiful vista and would be an ideal location for couples and friends getaway. Thank you Kilkivan B&B, Rosie and Steve for a marvelous 2 days in your country. We'll be back!

From the moment of our arrival and first greeting from Pirate, Rosie made us so very welcome to her lovely home, gardens and pets. The bedroom was spacious and charming, everything we could have expected and more were provided, including some delicious extras in the room fridge. We took up Rosie's offer of an evening meal there, and this proved to be a delicious meal in fabulous company. We highly recommend an evening or two with Rosie at her B&B. A stroll in the garden post dinner gave an awe inspiring glimpse of the night sky, millions of stars to be seen.

From the time you arrive you feel like one of the family. Rosie and pirate are very welcoming and the rooms are beautiful. Having drinks and nibbles on the veranda in the afternoon is lovely. Rosie cooks a huge breakfast and for a little more will do a great dinner too. Would highly recommend for a quiet relaxing stay.

We couldn't have received a friendlier welcome. Rosie came straight out to meet us, showed us around then treated us to welcome drinks on the veranda. She shared some of the wonderful history of the house, which exudes enormous character and charm. Rosie ensured we were thoroughly looked after, preparing a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, bacon, eggs and home-made caramelised onions the following morning.

We were greeted by Rosie (our fantastic host) with a smile and a quick tour through her house to our room. After a quick explanation of the surrounding grounds we were invited to a cup of tea. A nightly meal is happily provided (at a very reasonably fee) we accepted the meal and was not disappointed, with a very enjoyable evening's dining whilst conversing with Rosie to follow. Our stay here was enjoyably relaxing and after a great nights sleep the morning meal was more than we had anticipated and of the same great home style of the night before. Our only disappointed was that we couldn't stay another night.......We will most definitely be returning to spend time with Miss Rosie and Pirate (the dog) I would highly recommend this place to anybody who is looking for more than the average room.

We stayed just one night at Kilkivan Country B&B and felt at home the moment we arrived. After a friendly welcome from Rosie and her dog Pirate and a tour of the lovely old house we settled quickly into our spacious but cosy room with stylish ensuite. A quick tour of Kilkivan and then back to a welcoming fire and drinks before a delicious dinner with very good company. Breakfast was lovely the following morning. Our bed was super comfortable. Rosie can be very proud of her B&B.

We arrived at this charming bed and breakfast to be greeted by our host Rosie and Pirate the Dalmatian. Rosie immediately made us very welcome and took time to show us around. Rosie's relaxed manner and attention to detail is first class. Welcome drinks on the verandah followed by superb home cooked meal, comfortable bed with luxury linen, feather pillows and fresh flowers from the garden guaranteed a good nights sleep. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. As Rosie waved us off we felt so sad to be leaving and highly recommend this unique accommodation to travellers in this region. It is a gem. Thank you so much Rosie.

This is the most charming, welcoming and beautiful bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Rosie is the perfect host and we just loved her beautiful Dalmation, Pirate. The house and grounds are picture perfect, the rooms are beautiful and Rosie's breakfast is absolutely delicious with farm grown ingredients and we so enjoyed wine and cheese that Rosie provided while we sat out on the verandah overlooking the grounds and having a lovely chat. This place is the perfect example of country hospitality and we loved every minute of it. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks so much Rosie xx

Had a wonderful weekend away in the country with close friends at Kilkivan Country bed & breakfast. Rosie was a fantastic host, cooking us delicious meals for dinner & breakfast & sharing a glass or two of red with us.The homestead is so welcoming with it's high pressed metal ceilings & intricate details & the old fashioned fireplace was the place to be on a cold winters night. Comfy beds, beautiful rooms filled with antique furniture. You can also sit & watch the sunset around the campfire then watch the abundance of stars fill the sky. Will definitely be going back! Thank you so much Rosie.
