We stayed at the the bush lodge for 3 nights in the cabins which were spotless and comfortable. The showers were immaculate as well which was great. No mobile reception at all (Telstra) which was okay as it was after all, time to switch off and relax Only complaint was the camp kitchen (directly opposite the 3 cabins) which was very dirty, looked like the bbq grills hadnt ever been cleaned so we avoided the kitchen and dined elsewhere Otherwise a nice rugged bush camp
Friendly, considerate service upon arrival. Antonia personally took me to my campsite. ADMENITIES Clean but very dated. No large gaps with toilet/shower doors, so good privacy. Soap and paper towels refilled regularly Laundry area & camp kitchen COULD IMPROVE More seating in camp kitchen area BYO if you want to sit Undercover. No matches or lighter provided Dripping tap wasting water in camp kitchen. CAMPSITES Elevated grass, dirt and concrete sites Fire pit at most sites Power hubs need 20 meter leads in middle Noise level is LOUD school holidays / long weekends. COULD IMPROVE More Undercover picnic tables Separate Caravans with air-conditioning and keep away from people in tents A strict noise curfew GARDEN AREAS Beautiful grounds Birdlife abounds ~ early mornings are filled with the sound of birds. FOOD Saturday under the stars food was delicious and generous in size. Profit goes to plant Australian Native plants. 12000 planted in 11 years. …
I'm a bit conflicted about this place, to be honest. The setting is great, lovely trees and shrubs, plenty of space for caravans, fires OK, ablution facilities were fine. A bit over-priced. The only real problem was that there were a few dogs, apparently owned by the managers, and one male dog, in particular, was continually roaming the camp and peeing on caravanner's property. One lady we spoke to had to wash her own dog's bedding because the camp dog peed on it.
Took the family. Never again. Noisy drunks coming from the bar. Unruly children all day. Amenities very average. Not cleaned often enough. Way TOO expensive for us. Certainly would never recommend or go again. There was no peace or quiet.
We have been coming to this campground for many years. It’s a wonderful spot with great level powered and unpowered sites.Ralph Antonio and their wonderful family are passionate welcoming people.Lovely to wake to the sounds of birds every morning.Clean amenities and a great pool for the kids.A short drive into Kilkivan if you need service and lovely drives in the countryside.
Just returned from a weekend at Kilkivan Bush Camp. WOW, such a beautiful place and the park is run by a truly beautiful family. We enjoyed the most AMAZING camp oven dinners, cooked and served by family members as well as other staff that were just lovely. Nothing was a problem. The live music on Saturday and Sunday night was awsome. I danced all night Saturday night, which also means i slept like a log! Lol The pool is fabulous for the whole family and the activities that were organised for the whole long weekend were nothing short of excellent and all the kids had a blast! We will definitely be back soon for another peaceful and lovely weekend away. Thank you Ralph and Antonia and family for creating an awesome paradise. ❤😊👍
Wonderful Easter with the family and we can't wait to go back there again! So much for the kids to do, organised set out camp sites and the owners are wonderful people. Food was amazing and it was a great atmosphere overall. I highly recommend!
I've just finished staying here over the Easter holidays. We stayed in the new glamping tents which were beautiful. Kind size bed and a set of bunks, perfect for our family. Only con the ensuite was meant to be done before we got there but they have had so much rain they weren't able to complete that in time. But this is a beautiful camp with so many pros. Lovely and clean campsites, toilets and showers clean, the food in the bush hut was AMAZING some of the best food I've eaten. Swimming pool, creek for kids to explore, 2 playgrounds. A great place for your kids to get off their technology and explore nature. This is a family run business and them and their staff were so lovely. Easter weekend they put so much effort into activities for the kids to do. I will be back next Easter with some more family member. Definitely and place to come to.…
This is an excellent site for astronomy / astrophotography. Definitely one of my go to dark skies places. I use the flat areas north of the amenities / office, which have good viewing angles across the sky while being protected from the wind. The caretakers are great people - friendly and accommodating.
Perfect place for families of all age groups to get away and reconnect. We had a powered site ‘down by the creek’. Adequate space between neighbours. Lively Bush Bar with music and phone reception, Would also recommend Goomeri Bakery for delicious pie, sausage roll and coffee.
