We stayed and played Kokanee Springs in Sept. It's been at least 20 yrs since we played before. Still a great track but showing signs of wear. Carts need upgrading and maintenance required on some paths and tee boxes. Overall fairways and greens were in good shape.

Hi Steve, Thank you for taking the time to write and we're happy you came back after all these years! It is a great golf course and we are in the process of upgrading many areas of the course and the facility overall. Come back soon!

We traveled to Kokanee Springs Resort because of the golf course. It is an awesome golf course - great design with interesting variety of holes - and very well maintained. This is a course you have to ride - we did not try to walk - it has hills and sometimes a considerable distance between the holes. The course also...

Hi Bruster99, thank you for your recommendation! Kokanee is truly a spectacular golf course that has stood the test of time. We are underway with an upgrading program for our lodgings and although a slow process we are committed to seeing it through. We hope you visit us again soon!

I paid cash for my room and we stayed for two nights. After arriving home I was notified though email that I was $80 short, and it was charged to my credit card. The attendant didn't count my cash in front of me which should have been the first thing she did, but I didn't think much of it since...

Hello Ian, It is so unfortunate that you had such a negative experience. Basic procedures were not followed and you were not treated fairly. Although you were reimbursed it does not excuse the errors that were made. We pride ourselves on proving outstanding service to all of our guests and we sincerely hope that you will visit again and let...

The course is in fantastic condition, the scenery is second to none and the play here was very challenging. The greens were difficult to read and being the first time on the course it was tough but really fun to discover where to hit the ball next time we are back and we definitely will be back. The Black bear...

After my second trip in 3 years I have to write a review. This course is fantastic. It offers fantastic vistas and is challenging. I am not a great golfer but I really enjoy playing this course as it is not too hard but certainly challenging. Its always on great shape too. Every time I have come across wildlife on...

Kokanne Springs is one of those special places. It is not the typical high end golf type destination. This is a secluded resort, surrounded by fantastic views, and an exceptional golf course. For those interested in other activities the lake is nearby as are numerous hikes. You can also take a ferry across the lake and head into Nelson, which...

Hello Jamie, Thanks for that! It is a special place with an aura and atmosphere that I don't think a person can find anywhere else. It really is a reflection of life in the West Kootenays and in the people who live here. Come back again soon!

For some time we had heard what a great golf course Kokanee Springs Golf Course was and we finally decided to check it out ourselves. Our check in was flawless, until they realized that we had a dog and that we had not put it on the reservation. We regularly travel with our dog and this was just an oversight...

The email we just received stated that Kokanee Springs Resort will not hold any blocks of rooms for off-site weddings. They will only do so if they host the wedding and they can only facilitate 60 people, maximum. Most weddings are far larger than that. Ours is triple this amount. We believe our guests would use at least 55 rooms...

Hello 1986Laur, It is unfortunate that our booking policies do not mesh with your needs. As a destination golf resort the backbone of our business is "Stay and Play" visits by long time clients who utilize all aspects of the resort. “Take your time driving to this resort. The highway has lots of curves and views of the lake so not all drivers keep their attention tuned to the roadway. Ask for a room with a view of the glacier.”

“We stayed in a one bedroom villa (217) which has the bedroom windows facing the pro shop. If you have the windows open as we did you get a bit of golf cart traffic noise in the mornings but it's not really too disturbing. Sitting out on the deck we had a nice view of Kokanee Glacier and in the evening it's very quiet. A doe and her fawn were grazing below on several occasions.”

“As mentioned in other reviews, if there are large groups of guys on golf holidays, try to get a room as far away from them as possible - they do tend to get noisey.”
