We needed to get away to talk over a few things. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel! The Gibsons Garden Hotel is in my opinion one of the nicer places on the Sunshine Coast, and we've been to the SC a lot. Just never had the opportunity to stay here. The manager and staff are top notch. They solved a couple of issues for us with a smile. The room was the Executive Suite and it was outstanding. Lots of place to relax and it was very comfortable and well worth the price. One of the things that stood out as well was the bathroom! The tub was deep and luxurious and I really appreciated the shampoo/conditioner/shower get dispenser. This is reminiscent on how the cruise ships save space and the environment at the same time. We will absolutely visit again, not too sure when, but the next time we are in Gibsons, this will be our destination. Next time, hopefully in the spring to explore the beautiful garden that this hotel is named for.

We just got back from a 4 day stay and I must say it exceeded all expectations. In the span of three days I witnessed the manager himself fulfill the following tasks all with a smile on his face: Came in on 10 minutes notice from home to fix our door’s card reader which was broken. Was woken up not once but TWICE on back to back days by that one guest that wants him to personally serve him coffee at 5:30 in the morning with an open Tim Horton’s literally 1 minute down the road. Set up the entire massage chair room (which is fabulous, 20 minutes for 10 bucks) for my family and set up the tv for the kids to watch while closing the blinds for us. I could go on and on, even with new staff at the front desk they worked their butts off non stop every shift at a time when it is hard to find good workers. Just first class all the way, nice setting, nice garden, nice pool, nice service, nice people.

Our rooms had been confirmed by phone and again through email, yet when we arrived the rooms were not available and the desk clerk seemed confused about how to get us checked in. Eventually we were given rooms that had been pulled out of service due to short staffing. The hotel was loud and dated.

Hi Gerry, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry for your disappointment. Your reservation was made on our website on Jan 9th,2021, and got canceled through our website on July 11th,2021. I'm not sure if you accidentally canceled it when you try to double-check your reservation on our online booking system. If this is the case, you should have received an auto-email confirmation of cancellation in your email inbox. The gentleman who worked that night was very confused and had less experience with finding the cause of this booking issue. However, he was really focusing on finding a solution to accommodate your group at the hotel that night. He ends up using our emergency rooms to help the situation. I understand our service didn't meet your expectation; I feel very sorry about that. Your patient was very appreciated as all our staff is working tirelessly to provide a clean and safe environment for the travelers in this extremely high travel demand season. Please feel free to reach me at 6048864638 if you have any questions. We hope you see you again in the future. Dennis Manager

This hotel is right off the highway - very easy to find. We stayed for one night and we figured, being on the highway, it would be noisy. From the outside it looks a bit old and we set our expectations accordingly. Boy were we wrong! It was very comfortable and quiet. The rooms were cool and dark with good beds. The pool is refreshing on a hot day and the garden is quite pretty and worth a stroll through, or bring your morning coffee down and relax at one of the outdoor tables. It’s not just a gimmick, it’s a beautiful rose and dahlia garden! There is no hot tub but there is a sauna that heats up fast and was very relaxing. This was a surprisingly good place to stay for what looks from the outside to be just another highway hotel.
