I've stayed at this motel on many occasions over the years. It is always excellent with very friendly staff who have also been there for a very long time. Always kind. The location is superb. Close to the beach and also to some excellent restaurants. Of many places I've stayed in in this area of Auckland, this is by far...

Found our clean nicely appointed room via a friendly note , with key kindly left out for us, as we arrived a bit late. Comfy beds and modern amenities. Very handy to Takapuna restaurants, yet very private and oasis like, nestled in beautiful established gardens . Had it been summer would have certainly enjoyed the pool and beach. Impressed. Would...

Room had a kitchenette with oven, stove, sink, fridge and microwave. Room had landscaped back patio and comfortable bed. Bathroom made good use of limited space and shampoo, conditioner, even makeup removal wipe supplied. Only a minute walk to Takapuna beach and restaurants/shops. Short walk to bus that went to Devonport where we caught a ferry. Would gladly stay there...

We hadn't pre booked accomodation. Arrived in Takapuna late afternoon to find our choice of motel accomodation limited due no vacancy signs up on both our first choice trip advisor motels. We desparately wanted to stay in Takapuna so accepted last room available at trip advisors 4th ranked motel. The room (studio with 3 beds ) was compact and basic....

Great location and nice rooms. Only downside was the dangerous whitetail spider that woke me up and walked all over me during the night (scary!). Pest control was called, but not after spraying room myself and another (sleepless) night. Was advised area is normally sprayed and controlled every 6 weeks, so I was just "unlucky".

Spent a week here with my husband. First time to New Zealand. Great location! Apartments are supplied with what everything you need. The only negative is the Internet is a total rip off. Most places now offer free wifi when staying here but not here.

The Emerald Inn is in a great location, just a stroll down the road to Takapuna beach and within walking distance to plenty of shops, restaurants and bus stops. We stayed in a ground floor one bedroom apartment at the back of the complex, which was clean comfortable and really quiet. The complex is surrounded by plants and trees giving...

This hotel is a short walk to the ocean front, yet offers a quiet and comfortable stay. The hotel owners are extraordinarily helpful. The hotel is close to city of Auckland Transit, excellent restaurants and shopping. The beach front offers incredible walking opportunities. Chose low tide times to avoid getting wet.

The complex is set amongst lush tropical gardens and palm trees only a minutes walk from Takapuna beach and numerous bars, clubs & restaurants along Hurstmere Rd and only 5 mins walk to the Shore City Mall. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped, although a ceiling fan would have been a nice addition. The pool was crystal...
