the mountain peaks and trails that surround ELL are truly breathtaking. the history of location is a great story, the cabins however are not worth the prices being charged - I would not recommend to anyone i speak with to stay there. the carpet in my room had tears in it, was missing in spots, and had large stains in...

We were part of a small wedding party. We were knocked out by the location and the sense of 'getting away' this place provides. Got very lucky with the weather- mid nOvember and the ceremony was held outside against a backdrop money cannot buy. Pre arranged wedding meal was delicious - most tender beef I've ever had. Had table service...

I think this would be a great place to stay if you know what to expect. There is no way to cook or store any food. The restaurants are extremely expensive. To pay $200 plus a night and have zero amenities is a bit much. You have to be shuttled in and out so going to grab cheap food isn't...

During a road trip around Canada, my family and I had a fantastic stay at Emerald Lake Lodge during winter. Our cabins were wonderful with their open fires and the views were spectacular. The snowshoeing and skiing here in winter is just astounding. And the staff are lovely too. But what almost outshone the location and the scenery was the...

Our two night stay was a huge disappointment mainly because the wash hand basin in our Lake View Room was cracked and dirty water from the blocked overflow/waste was creeping back into the basin through these cracks producing an overpowering bad eggs smell in the whole room. The reported fault wasn't dealt with satisfactorily on the evening we arrived despite...

When we stayed here in March, we could see the beauty, but at that time it was covered in a thick blanket of white. In September, the beautiful colour of the lake helped us understand how this place was named. Accommodation is rustic but comfortable with on site canoe and boat rentals, plenty of hiking trails, a hot pool and...

My wife and I were first time visitors. Excellent location and service. Perfect place to unwind and get away from our "electronic" world. The tranquility and absence of TV made it seem like the world slowed down for a couple of days. Restaurant was first class.

Absolutely excellent stay. A true hidden Jem. If you are concerned about the cost it is worth every penny. You will leave feeling completely refilled and totally relaxed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We booked a room here on a whim after spending the day at Lake Louise. It's about a 15 minute drive from Lake Louise and I am so glad that we discovered it! Come here to disconnect from all things electronic and full enjoy what Banff's surrounding areas have to offer. Lake Emerald is gorgeous and you'll feel like you...

We returned to Emerald Lake after many years. We had a wonderful Hot Tub on a misty night, enjoyed relaxing in front of our wood-burning fireplace, then went for a short lake walk after lovely breakfast.
