Very basic rather tired accommodation, cleanish, friendly reception, but it feels grim. Right on the highway. You are in a room built with concrete blocks that have been painted off-white. Traffic calms down after ten. It would be fine if it cost 70 including taxes. We had to stay somewhere as we were too late for our ferry, this was...

It's clean with balcony with a nice view. Full size coffee pot, microwave and bar fridge in room. Cable TV. However we stayed a week and they didn't come in to make the beds or change the towels daily. At $70/night we didn't qualify for free breakfast.

We stayed two nights, hot water and wifi intermittent. Basics missing - no hairdryer and when we asked for one (and were quickly given one) it tripped the electricity. Coffee cups and jug weren't washed overnight and no coffee whitener. Lots of dead flies in bathroom lightshade. Although proprietors were very friendly, it was barely adequate and although cheap, not...

We stayed at Holiday house for a visit with my mom. We were there for 5 days. Not once did he come and clean room. We had to ask for clean towels. When I'm on holiday, I don't want to worry about things like that. We don't ask for much. Just give the room a quick clean, clean towels, take...

I felt looked after - owner was helpful, followed up with me about my room, new clean flooring, no traffic at night so quieter location than first appears. Great pub next door with good food, breakfast provided at coffee shop across the street. Would return here.

My friend and I walked from Parksville to Victoria via Mill Bay ferry. Took us 6 well-planned days. What I didn't plan for was sore feet. Silly me. Day 2 of 6 we waddled into the Holiday House Motel and were greeted by the friendliest hosts. When I told Mark, one of the hosts, my feet were burning up like...

We enjoyed a two-night getaway from Victoria on Vancouver Island. We were welcomed with sincerity and our hosts would have done hand-stands to make our stay better if we'd needed that. This is a basic motel with a marvellous view. You have to learn to tune out the traffic noise. It's a privilege to stay in this characterful town --...

Visited this Motel in November this year The managers were ok but the service was the worst ever and blamed on the owner. No bed clothes changed over the period we were there and no cleaning any day. Towels are only changed once a week and even toilet rolls had to be purchased as no effort ever made to clean...

This hotel is located right on the highway across from the log sort in Ladysmith. I got a ripper deal summer rate of 1 night $69 CAD on booking.com and was greeted in the lobby with the best most memorable customer service I've ever experienced from a small budget hotel. Arrived at my room (115) and weather outside was roasting...

My sister and I stayed at this motel for 5 days July 2014. Free breakfast 3 days out of 5 at the local restaurant which was very delicious. The motel rate was very reasonable so was quite surprised that breakfast was even included. Very clean. Upgraded..no carpets on floor (thank goodness). Though we could not open the window because of...
