We spent one night at the Alicion and wished it could have been a longer stay. The rooms were lovely, big and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was huge with a hydrotub and shower and yummy bath products. The house itself and the grounds are amazing. Lorne and Janet were very welcoming and informative about the area and the history. Following...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful room (the dragonfly) and huge bathroom. Very clean. We had to leave really early the morning of departure, and Lorne made us a great breakfast to go. Highly recommend this b & b and the town of Lunenburg as part of a Nova Scotia tour!!

We stayed the night in the Dragonfly Room at this charming B&B. Lorne is a welcoming host and a creative chef. His take on huevos rancheros was delicious and the company was lovely. Our room was beautifully appointed with a modern shower and therapy tub complete with jets. The bed was comfortable and we both got a great night's sleep...

My husband and I stayed at Alicion for 2 nights during our honeymoon trip to Nova Scotia. Lorne met us at the door with a warm welcome and thoughtful recommendations for our first night in town. It was only a 10 minute walk from the bed and breakfast into the bustling Lunenburg Harbor area, and we appreciated the Alicion's quieter...

A warm welcome at the front door from Janet was the sign of a lovely stay ahead for us at Alicion Bed and Breakfast. And the warmth continued throughout our stay. Lorne provided delicious breakfasts each morning and was especially attentive of my allergy to gluten so that I would stay well throughout my trip. He also gave us great...

We were fortunate to get into the Alicion with a last minute booking. Great location! Although in new town, this is an easy walk into old town and to the waterfront. There is a park and trail nearby which was great for our young son. Lorne was welcoming and accommodating. They brought a cot into our room for our son...

My Husband and I stayed here in July for 2 nights. We were welcomed warmly by the owner Lorne and shown around. We stayed in the room on the main floor just off the dining room, I believe it was the Kingfisher room. It was very quiet and private. The room was everything we could have asked for with a...

Hi Tami63, Thanks so much for your lovely review and kind compliments. We are delighted when people appreciate the ammenities and attention to detail that we ourselves appreciate when we travel. The deer are there almost every night, sometimes eating our garden but we celebrate them anyway. We would also be very happy to see you come back. Best Regards,...

We stayed July 25th, 2016 for one night. We unfortunately arrived an hour late which we felt very sorry for but had a mix up with our travelling times - Lorne still however accommodated us to fit our schedule. The bed and breakfast is a wonderful, characteristic home. Very well upkept, yet keeping the original charm of the home. We...
