Lovely 2 day stay. Very clean, bright and spacious room and private bathroom. Lovely bath products, linens and towels and a healthy breakfast. A quiet well treed BnB set back from the foot traffic of downtown but only a short walk into the shops and restaurants. A great place to stay and explore Lunenburg and/or wanting to recharge your batteries.

Hi Linda, Thanks so much for the positive review. It was a pleasure to host you both and to have your good natured presence at the breakfast table. It makes all the difference to us - but also to the other guests. We take pride in the attention to detail and greatly appreciate it when someone takes notice. Warm Regards,...

The house is lovely, beautiful inside and out. It is well located and just an easy walk from town. More than once, the host made us feel that our presence was not that welcome. He clearly said he was already thinking going back in his home province Vancouver... Other than that, thew rate is pricey considering the overall experience. I...

We are posting the same response to "BimmerDon" and "nf2121" as the opening sentences seem to be carbon copies, word for word. Thank you for the compliment that you did post. It is unfortunate that you felt strongly enough to post essentially the same “review” twice. You point out some sensitivity with regard to criticism. “Constructive criticism” is usually provided...

My husband and I recently enjoyed an impromptu overnight at the Alicion. We were very lucky to find one room available for our time frame. This is the second time we have stayed at the Alicion and we are already looking forward to the next one. Lorne and Janet always make you feel welcome, glad that you have chosen to...

Dear Gourock1, It is always a treat to have guests come back. This past season, we have had many return visits including one couple for a 5th. visit. It is gratifying to see people again and we are happy we had an opening. Thanks too for the compliment about breakfast, location and feeling welcome. We do hope you make it...

This old home is beautifully maintained. We stayed in the Dragonfly room and we loved all the details and all the dragonfly motifs through the the space. The house is filled with some amazing collectables and antique pieces. The owners were away while we were there but the couple taking care of us were very friendly and Jacque made us...

The house is lovely, beautiful inside and out. It is well located and just an easy walk from town. More than once, however, the host made us feel that our presence was an imposition, in a couple of rather uncomfortable conversations (to get a sense, you might want to look at the defensive tone of his response to every single...

My husband and I spent a relaxing night at this beautiful spot. The Kingfisher room on the bottom floor ( yeah, no stairs) was very comfortable. I enjoyed sitting on the deck, with my book and glass of wine. The breakfast was delicious, it was a nice time to chat with the other guests. Looking forward to a return visit....
