After reading all the negative reviews I was afraid of what would greet us at this resort. I was wrong. Although it is not sleek or modern, it has charm, clean basic rooms and an unparalleled setting on a warm and clean lake. Our room...More
Good luck trying to book something here and trying to call and get a person to speak to. Tried 3 times no answers after being on hold for an hour each time - called during their supposed call centre hours. Do not book through travelzoo...More
Quite disappointed. It is apparent that the facility is a hundred and forty-nine year's old... I can assure you that they probably haven't updated since then. Let the pictures speak for themselves. I stayed a couple of nights after dropping my children off at a...More

A mini fridge and kurig, 2 kcups provided each day. No stove, toaster, microwave or kettle. Equipped more like a hotel room. No way to prepare any food in the one bedroom cottage we had, which I found rather surprising. There is a lovely coffee shop a short walk away, looking at the water the trail is to your left. Coffee shop is in an old church that was relocated from NS (your trivia for the day!) their pastries are some of the best I've ever had. Did not eat at Clevelands house restaurant, as the eating area looked ill kept.
