Went for a little get away from Vancouver to celebrate my birthday. GM Jacob was very helpful and reserved a water view king room for us. Every one was very nice in Prestige, they even wrote a little b’day card for me :)
The washroom was bigger and feel more luxurious than the pictures on their website, we really liked it. I won’t question even if they mark the hotel as a 4-star. There weren’t a lot of people in the hotel (guess they do have regulation of maximum guest per day) so we feel quite safe during our stay. The room was well sanitized too (although the sofas could be deep cleaned for the dark marks overtime).

It was cloudy during our stay so we didn’t catch any sun rise or sun set. However, the hotel has a great water view and I am sure it will be a pretty bonus to relax during sunny days. Please note that the $10 voucher for their restaurant downstair is only for dine in. It would be better if it could work for take out to our rooms though (as the restaurant gets a bit busier at night and take out will be safer for both employees and guests). The food was good, but could be better for the price point.

All in all, we enjoyed staying with Prestige Resort and will certainly recommend it for any one who is planning a trip to Sooke (or even to nearby Langford or Victoria since they are just 30-60 min drive away). We will certainly consider staying with BW again for our next travel as well.

From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed! When we arrived we could tell it wasn't busy so we asked for a balcony, they were able to accommodate for a minimal fee. We could tell you it was well worth it. This property is nice and newer and kept in a very clean and safe state. The staff were all friendly and helpful, from the maintenance person to the yard workers, from the front desk to the housekeepers. The room was very nice and spacious and as we mentioned we had a beautiful deck overlooking the marina and inlet. We liked the option of "green rooms", we were there for 3 nights and chose the "no housekeeping" option and received a $20 voucher for the West Coast Grill, well worth it. Whenever we needed anything; towels, soaps, or anything, they were always accommodating. We will do the West Coast Grill on a separate review and can say the service and food were very good as well. The only knock on this trip (for us it was perfectly fine) but for those who will need the elevator, it will take a while as 1 of the elevators is out of service, I am guessing for COVID rules. All in all, the staff, the property, the experience at this resort was very good, we will recommend and will return. Thank you Prestige Oceanfront Sooke.

We just spent 2 days here with the family. Beautiful location right on the ocean/marina. Seals hang out aroung the docks which was great to see. The rooms are huge. We had a king balcony suite which was very spacious with a HUGE rain shower (you could fit 8 people in there if you wanted to haha). The tv in the bathroom is excellent for the men who love to spend a little extra time in the bathroom. Everything was clean, beds were comfy, lighting is excellent, balcony was huge and the view was AMAZING! The restaurant is good and staff was helpful. If you waive housekeeping during your stay, they give you a $10 coupon for the restaurant. Parking can be scarce when they are full. Only downside, the balconies all have lights which cannot be turned off so even with the blinds closed, a bit of livht pokes through all night. Other then that, we highly recommend!

This fall we decided to explore the less visited south west coast of Vancouver Island from Sooke to Port Renfrew.

We used the Prestige Oceanfront Resort in Sooke as our base and took day trips to the wild coast where we explored beaches and forest trails.

You would be forgiven for believing that the hotel was in Hawaii, with it's white architecture, lovely terraced balconies, manicured gardens and gas pits for lounging around the fire at night taking in the beautiful views of Sooke's harbour.

Our room had a lovely view of the boat harbour and we enjoyed watching seals and otters from the window.

The hotel has an underground parking lot at the side which is not obvious when you first arrive and navigating the way around the many corriders to reach the car from our room was not easy at first, as the parkade is not marked on the elevator or in the corridor until you get to the parkade itself.

The restaurant was excellent. We ate there for breakfast and dinner, where reservations were required. The food was excellent, but those with nut allergies need to be careful as nuts feature in both savoury and sweet items.

The hotel followed Covid-19 protocols very well with sanitizer on each floor, at the reception and dining room. By not having housekeeping for our stay we were given $10.00 vouchers towards the dining room.

1: Having stayed at the hotel before, we really enjoyed the bar and looked fprward to spending Christmas Eve there. We had reservations in the dining room for Christmas Dinner but cancelled a similar reservation for Christmas Eve because of our anticipated enjoyment and the fact that the web site appeared to suggest that the bar was open. We arrived and found that the bar was closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We were misled by the web site and we should have been advised of any closures when we made the reservation.
2. My wife has a bad hip condition and is currently mostly in a wheelchair. Soaking and exercising in a hot tub is beneficial, so we anticipated making a lot of use of the hot tub. However, we discovered that handicapped access was nigh on impossible. Two heavy doors to get into the changing room and another two heavy and awkwardly aligned doors to get from the chaniging room to the pool - utterly impossible for a woman in a wheelchair to navigate. I had to take her through the men's changing room to gain access and even for me, it was difficult to manage the doors and the wheelchair at the same time. As a result we only used the pool/hot tub once in a three day stay, which did not help my wife's pain level. This is not an old hotel and not to have automatic door openers for handicapped people is really quite unforgivable. For a hotel of this stature, installing these should be a priority.
3. We like to relax around a pool and read, popping in and out of the pool/hot tub from time to time. While space is limited, there is room for chaises longues but only two regular sit up chairs were there. This was a disappointment.

Rarely do we holiday as a family during August, but having an opportunity to escape, we took it.

This hotel looked after us the second we walked in.

The front desk team upgraded our room to a premier balcony suite, extra coffee was delivered to our rooms, the staff all played concierge as we questioned about places to explore and the rooms amenities were comfortable and spacious.

Parking was easy, housekeeping was discreet and efficient and after 4 nights of amazing relaxation we were easily checked out.

I’m going to write a separate review for the restaurant as it literally stood out as an extra special highlight for us.

We will stay here again and again and again.

I booked two nights in a two queen ocean view room with a balcony. The photos show a lovely green colonial style room with a wood look floor. (With allergies I hesitate to stay in carpeted hotel rooms.) The hotel was lovely and the lobby looked newly remodelled in a modern blue sea theme. When we saw our room I was shocked. It was dated, dark, with carpets. The worst part was my ocean view meant standing on the edge of the balcony and looking around the dividing fence between my balcony and the room next to me. From in the room all I could see was into other rooms. I went to the front desk to inquire if there had been a mistake. A woman, I assume the manager, saw I was upset and offered to try to help. Apparently the room type I saw in the picture was not available for my stay (made my reservation months ago) and they considered my room in the same category. She did move me to a room with a better view where I could actually see the water from in the room. She claimed it was an upgrade. It was however still very dated, carpeted, and dingy. The food in the restaurant was very good and breakfast service was good. Dinner service was very slow and they made mistakes on my bill, charging for things I didn't order. The grounds were lovely, most of the staff friendly, but I don't think I will be returning.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the resort and professionalism of the staff.
Went for a 2 night getaway with wife; had a great relaxing stay
Will definitely return in the summer with the kids next time; the view from the hotel would be amazing in the summer.

Enjoyed Le Sooke Spa couples package as well
Only tried West Coast grill which was delicious and had great decor, view and atmosphere; but they also have a small cafe (which looked great with homemade options) and Vault sports bar which we didn’t try.

All staff were great especially Natalie, she went above and beyond was able to switch us into another room after my wife had allergy issues

WiFi was a bit slow but Netflix ok

A beautiful oceanfront hotel, the staff members were warm, welcoming and goes beyond expectations to maker your stay a good one, a fantastic lobby bar,and the restaurant is delicious.

Firstly my husband I were surprised and touched by a various staff members who were personable, welcoming and went beyond expectations to help our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The reception staff when we visited last night were Nimu and Eric. They were both pleasant and friendly. Nimu, especially went way over our expectations to help our stay so much nicer. Thank you.
Then we had a drink at the lobby bar, the young bartender guy (we didn’t get his name) was a very good bartender and made perfect drinks. He seemed to have passion for mastering classic cocktails. He was knowledgeable pleasant and kind. We liked his drinks so much that had to go back after the dinner again. If this bar were near our home, we will frequent this bar so we can try more of his cocktails. Thank you.
Late this morning, we had lunch at their restaurant before leaving. The restaurant is beautiful, with full view of the ocean and beautiful decor. There was a young woman at the front, a lovely person with light accent. Without us saying anything, she cleaned up the table right by the ocean view, while many less favorable tables were open, so we can sit in the beautiful table.

The hotel is nice, food is good, but what made this hotel wonderful for us were the kindness of the staff members.

I took one star away because we found out that some rooms in the hotel, the only view from the room is the parking lot. So it is important to choose the right room when one makes a reservation at this hotel.
If the hotel is in the middle of the city, the room with parking lot view only does not matter too much. But as the attraction is the oceanfront, it can be disappointing only to see the parking lot, garden view is fine, but maybe not the parking lot.

Hi there, i would like to know the difference between harbor view rooms and ocean view rooms. Thank you
Answer from Robert P
Surrey, Canada84 contributions7 helpful votes
As resort is u-shaped, the inside ( of the 'U' ) rooms would see mainly the harbour. The west-side rooms would see in the direction of the ocean. As there is a common deck around the inside of the 'U', & on the ends, sitting on the deck pretty well opens the view up to the harbour, Olympic mountains across the channel in Washington, and positioned right, the ocean.
