Returning from a trip to Yachana Lodge, friends asked if I minded breaking the trip into two days and stopping in Baeza. They phoned the owner, and yes, he had availability. Road weary, I was happy to throw on brakes and explore Baeza for the first time. Koss/the owner was pleased to show my friends the newest addition - a...

Stopped here for some pizza in the middle of our 9 hour bus ride from Quito into the amazon rainforest. It was amazing! If you have the chance definitely go because it is still the best pizza i've ever had!

Beautiful cozy cabanas with comfortable beds make this a great place to stay. After a day of rafting we lounged in the comfy chairs on the porch watching hummingbirds flit from flower to flower. The restaurant serves probably the best pizza in the South America, and proprietor Herr Kolsch selected a perfect wine to accompany it. Soft jazz played while...

Great pizza and mixed drinks, in a chilled out atmosphere, usually something like John Caltrain being played. Recommend calling beforehand to make sure the place is open. Safe parking and some walks from the restaurant.

This place is amazing! We stopped here twice coming and going to the Napo River from Quito... it is a must see and must stop! So clean and welcoming, with amazing pizza and salad. The proprietor is warm, welcoming, and greets with a smile! His jazz collection plays throughout the beautiful restaurant and his wood workings are all on display....

The place is really peaceful and nice, rustic huts with plenty of plants and nature around. The rain at night was just perfect, it sounded very soothing. The service was great, yes, the pizza is very good. An added bonues there is a trail leading to two wonderful waterfalls right next to the Hosteria, 20 minutes walking time, gorgeous place....

Unexpected solidly built cabanas (no rain gets through the roof!),very clean rooms and baths, perfect service though no breakfast (recommended Luis' "Coffee Shop" walking distance) but brilliant dinner (pizza, pasta, ao). Business like but friendly service from the Dutch owner and his wife. Almost jungle like garden downhill in conjunction with fog forest - bird life, monkeys, insects. Switzerland type...

I only stopped here for a lunch stop but was impressed by the whole experience. The food (pizza) was handmade and arrived "piping hot" from the oven (which in Ecuador can't always be achieved by many restaurants!) and with the varieties offered by Koss (which just kept coming out!-) made for a lovely lunch. Thanks

Koss is a fabulous host. Most helpful. Our cabin was very comfortable and the porch looking out on the Vista was amazing. Lots of hot water. Great food. Had a wonderful time here. This place is a bit off the beaten track and so very peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by nature. Most wonderful.
