The location is awesome. We only stayed for one night. Tip: Supply a door draft guard for winter nights. The fireplace is awesome. Wood, matches and blitz was supplied. Good quality Coffee is supplied on a tray in the room. We were 4 people and only two cups and enough milk for 2 was supplied. A cup of coffee next...

In the rat race that we find ourselves daily....it is vital that you just take a break...and no, not just by having a kit-kat, it doesn't really work. What works is driving away from the city, the busy life, priorities, the to-do lists, etc. A few weeks ago we stayed at #draaihoeklodge. Got the deal on #Daddy'sDeals...You will still learn...

A place where I would like to relax for a weekend with my wife. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere coupled with luxury rooms and the sound of waves in your ears. For business guests you may consider having breakfast available from 07:30, even just a continental option.

After miles and miles of driving with very little to see, suddenly you find a veritable oasis in the middle of nowhere. From the moment you arrive, a sense of tranquility envelopes you. The welcome was warm, the cottage truly luxurious with a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was outstanding and plentiful so much so that the next meal we had...

Went last weekend with a few friends and we all had a glorious time. The rooms are beautiful and really spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was nice and the service is really good too. Special thanks for making me a vegetarian bobotie and something nice at breakfast - much appreciated! A lovely, tranquil, classy establishment. Recommend!

We enjoyed a most pleasant weekend at Draaihoek Lodge. The accommodation was spacious and well presented and the meals excellent. The weather was conducive to our using the pool. Recommended as a relaxing break from the city and making use of a discount voucher added to the excellent value we enjoyed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Draaihoek Lodge is situated on the West Coast of South Africa with a unspoiled 5 km white sandy private beach. Draaihoek Lodge offers accommodation in 8 luxury suites, each fronting the scenic strand veld and dunes of the Atlantic Ocean. Furthermore we have the Manor House with its 3 luxuriously appointed bedrooms overlooking the vlei with its unique flora and bird life available. Whether you dine in The Restaurant, on the terrace or picnic overlooking the waves of the West Coast, you will savor the flavors of our mouth-watering classics and gourmet dishes prepared by the kitchen team. Fare from the kitchen will guide you through the flavors redolent of South Africa's cooking tradition and the West Coast surrounds - borrowing from the Cosmopolitan table to create a heart warming taste experience that endeavors to touch patrons' souls. All meals are served with quality wines selected from our cellar. Je seux qu'on se voix - come and join us. The private Nature Reserve reaches from the Atlantic ocean inland to Sandveld's mountain range and across to the Verlorenvlei, a RAMSAR classified site, south of Elands Bay. The coastal border of the Reserve stretches along an undisturbed sandy beach, hugged by rugged dunes and favoured by flocks of birds typical to the West Coast. The uninhabited bay area is frequented by whales, seals and playing Heaviside dolphins. ... more   less
