We loved this place! Such a quiet, classy, comfortable property. We only stayed 1 night but wished we'd stayed much longer. I guess we need to return! The property is spread out so you rarely saw other guests....which we liked. We were surprised an upgraded room, which we appreciated! The room/suite was amazing! Super comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, giant closet, and private deck. The big property was fun to explore and take the best pictures. All staff was encountered were welcoming, even though we struggled with our French language. The hotel shuttle was very convenient running us to the Village and the Light Show. Highly recommend this place. Well worth every Euro we spent!

Extremely refined and comfortable hotel, it is located in two buildings, the first, the oldest original one, where the homonymous famous restaurant with three Michelin stars is also located, and the second, more modern in some parts, where both the reception are located. that the SPA, as well as a second excellent restaurant called Le Cabro d'Or. Both structures have a large swimming pool very well equipped and served by cocktail bars. The charm of the buildings lies in the absolutely fabulous location in the wonderful landscape of that Provencal paradise that is Les Baux de Provence, and also in the attention to detail, in the interior furnishings and perhaps above all in the external ones, where among centuries-old plants, climbers and shrubs of any kind, the guest finds a perfect retreat to rediscover the lost harmony.

This summer's reviews are of hotels in the era of Covid. Two stand out as having been able to manage the challenge of luxury in a period of uncertainty where having staff and guests roam around you may cause unease; Baumaniere is one of them. With the beautiful rooms and suites in the old Cabro d'Or part of the hotel, and a wonderful dinner at the Cabro, all handled with discrete distancing so that one did not feel one was in a public area. Altogether wonderful and elegant; attentive but not in your face service. Much to be recommended is also the lunch basked at the pool restaurant. Last, this is a great stop on the road between many places and the hotel is wonderful if you are traveling with pets.

We are just leaving this hotel and cannot wait to go to another one. We had booked 2 junior suite rooms- one for us and one for our child and grandmother. I had asked for close by rooms, they could not accommodate us, even if I asked several times to be closer to my child. Our room was great and new, and all rooms had blackout curtains. The other junior suite room was really far away, on top of the cleaning staff rooms, very old and smelly, really more of a 1* hotel room. We wanted to put our child in the separate living room of the suite- we quickly realized that not only it didn’t have blackout curtains, there was no curtain at all on one of the big windows. Our child couldn’t nap during the day and woke up at 5am with the sunrise. I asked to change the room multiple times because of this, pleading them for help as our days were ruined with no sleep and a cranky child. The hotel only offered me a lower price room which was smaller and only had 1 room. Not exactly the customer service you’d expect from a hotel of such class. They also said they will try to see what they can do about the window without a curtain, but never did anything about it. My mother ended up sleeping on the same room as my child, where they had blackout curtains, so we could have just booked a single room. When I told the hotel about this, they ignored us completely - no geste commercial, no I am sorry present, no customer service, no attention to how bad their guests felt for the 3 days we were there. Nobody apologized, no manager reached out to me, no one even acknowledged the sub par room quality and sleep issues we experienced as a result.

It’s a beautiful property and clearly some rooms are lovely, but the complete lack of customer service and attention to the guests makes this a 0 class experience for me coming from another country with a small child. For the same price, we could have and will go to a much better place, where the hotel team understands what it is to help and take care of their guests during their very few holidays days.

This property is exceptional in so many ways, from the beautifully groomed gardens to the Michelin starred restaurant, L’Oustau de Baumaniere. We stayed for 3 days, and it was not enough. The staff went out of their way to help us, whether it was booking a restaurant, or arranging tickets to the Carrieres de Lumieres. They expressed their gratitude to us for visiting from the USA! I hope we can return some day.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on a recent couples trip. I had stayed at this hotel when it went under a different name when I was a teenager, now some 30 years ago and had wonderful memories, so I was excited to return. It lived up to all my expectations and more. The grounds are stunning as is the unique setting. If you are planning to visit Les Baux, you can walk there from the upper part of the hotel avoiding the need to deal with parking and allowing yourself to stay later in the day after the crowds have dissipated. We had a charming room with a small terrace in the upper part of the property, which I enjoyed. The hotel is spread out over quite a large area, so you take a shuttle to get from the upper area to the lower. But we were able to park our car ourselves and get it when we needed, which was convenient. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was friendly and helpful. I speak French but the staff all spoke English. The breakfast buffet, while expensive, is excellent and the courtly gentleman in charge of breakfast was straight out of central casting - so French and so refined. My husband and I adored him. The pool area is gorgeous even if the water is a little brisk - not uncommon for French hotels even at this level. We ate at the less expensive restaurant La Cabro d'Or and the meal was outstanding even if the service had minor glitches. While we were there, there was a crazy hailstorm and the reception area flooded! We felt so bad for everyone, but it did not affect us at all. I would give anything to return!

My husband and I spent two nights at Baumaniere recently, and enjoyed our entire experience in Les Baux. The property is beautiful with gardens, vineyards and water features throughout. A stunning setting to relax and unwind in Provence.

The staff was very helpful in providing transportation to various locations on the property and in Les Baux. They were very friendly and prompt.

We tried both restaurants at Baumaniere, and enjoyed each experience. We would rate La Cabro d’Or the better of the two. The food service at La Cabro d’Or was excellent and the female sommelier was very helpful with wine suggestions.

Restaurant L’Oustau provided us with a culinary extravaganza, with many special touches, such as champagne on the terrace before being seated for dinner. But we felt the food quality was not up to par to La Cabro d’Or, and the food was more of a visual delight versus tasting it. And the wine service was superior at La Cabro d’Or.
But L’Oustau is a great dining experience.

I wrote many good reviews about Baumaniere hotel, because this place always fascinated me with its service, food, taste and amazing feeling of being at home and being served like a king.
This time they exceeded my expectations!
We usually stay in Baumaniere on the way from Geneva to Barcelona. It’s halfway and since we discovered this property we are trying every chance to visit. Even our dog seems happier when we arrive there and he can visit his friends on the farm:)
We also book the place on our returns and this time I asked if our favorite room will be available. They weren’t sure if it would be possible, but when we returned they said that they remember we loved it and we can have it, but that’s not all. Something was not quite right with an extra bed, so they offer our daughter a room next to ours for free! This is hospitality!
Thank you so much for creating a Paradise for our family.
I suggest everyone visit this place at least once and see for themselves what an amazing place Baumaniere is.

The grounds are stunning and the staff are very accommodating. Our room was spacious and the decor very pretty. The washroom could be more spacious around the sink area. The lightening in the sleeping area is very poor. Pot lights would help to correct that issue.

Our one main disappointment was the unkept trail from our sleeping accommodations to either pool. The trail is public property and therefore not maintained by the resort. There are no signs along the path to indicate the direction to the resort. Plus there is no way you are taking the path in the evening. The resort does provide a shuttle service, however we were hoping to be able to walk at any time of day. The website needs to clearly state that the rooms located off the main property will require either a walk through an unmaintained path. We’ve stayed at large resorts before and have no issue walking, but we weren’t expecting to be dependent on a shuttle service to go back and forth to our room.

Not sure I can add much to what's been said about the stunning location and grounds. It's a special place to recharge one's batteries. Incredibly peaceful. My wife and I spent 5 nights here in May so not all the amenities were fully open (i.e. the pool bar/restaurant). We had a very nice King/Terrace ground floor room and loved it. The resort location is great with it's proximity to towns such as Fontvielle, Saint Remy and of course the village of Les Baux. Also close to Arles and Avignon. We found the service to be helpful and friendly. Upon request a shuttle service is available to the village and surrounding area. While we didn't eat at the two restaurants (L'Oustau de Baumaniere or La Cabro D'Or), we did have breakfast delivered to our terrace and room service (when the restaurant was booked). The food was excellent. I would also suggest trying/buying the chocolates from the onsite Chocolate Factory. They are wonderful. The only comment I'd make regarding food is that (and maybe it was because of the time of year) the options other than the onsite restaurants, were limited. There are many restaurants in the village but they all closed by 7pm. That left room service or going further offsite to some of the towns in the area. We did take the front desk advise to go to another hotel restaurant near by ( Le Mas D'Aigret) and it was very good. Overall this is a beautiful resort that offers as much or as little as you like.

There is plenty of parking spaces in the hotel (in both buildings). It is better to stay on the main building and it is much closer to the village: at the bottom of the hill. Village is very near: 10 min to climb up or you can drive and park. Very easy.
