Our family of four plus puppy had a great stay for three nights as we headed each day to Cumberland for some awesome mountain biking. The manager offered to store our bikes in the basement under the office so we knew they were securely locked away each night. We also enjoyed breakfast each morning at the The Hen and Hog Cafe which is adjacent to the motel and had an outdoor patio that was perfect for our group of 11. Would stay here again for sure, either for biking or skiing.

We got there and first and foremost the person working at the desk was incredibly creepy and took forever to even come out to help us.
Then hot tub wasn't working, ice machine room wouldn't let us in.
We called to advise this and the woman on the phone tried to argue with me about what the booking on MY app told me when I booked the hotel on MY phone where she wasn't involved remotely in. She advised she could refund us but knowing nowhere else was available for us to stay so we just stayed there.
Room was small but has necessities, room layout was horrible. Table crammed against the AC and the garbage bin placed so you couldn't open the fridge. The windows or door is not properly sealed so you can hear EVERY little thing including the rain as if it's inside the room with you.
HOWEVER - I have stayed in some four star hotels that don't even give you a fridge so it was a silver lining.
Additionally the room was very clean to be honest, despite the hotel and the other nonsense and false advisement we at least had a clean room which is more than I can say for some other hotels we have stayed in. So if you aren't worried about amenities or service that will make you cringe and just want a clean place to sleep then I suggest this place.
However don't quote me as we could also have just been lucky to get a clean room by fluke as well.

Not the greatest motel in the world but what do you expect for the price? We were in a recently renovated room......but I'm not sure it had been entirely completed.

Stayed here this summer and was pretty disappointed. For $185/night it should really be 49.95/night. Our bath towels were dirty, light bulb missing, luggage rack fell apart, people smoking right outside our door which stunk up our room, plywood for walkways, pretty sure people are living there full time, paper notes on the wall with scotch tape to not plug in more than one thing at a time. Would never go back or recommend.

On Dec.22 my wife and child stayed in this hotel. The blankets had cigarettes hole stains, and our duvet had a blood stain. We reluctantly returned our duvet. The hot tub was dangerous and very dirty. I was itchy all night after going in it Then, at night the wall started shaking, the manager then moved us to a different room. The room looked OK but was cold from the door being open., We turned on the heat and went to sleep. I woke up at midnight to find the room still freezing cold and the heater blowing cold air.
We complained in the morning and instead of an apology these guys tried claiming we were smoking in the room and billed my credit card another $150!!! on top of the $67 we had already paid. WE DON"T EVEN SMOKE!! What a mistake it was to stay there. Thanks for ruining our Christmas. Please do NOT stay here. This place should be shut down.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your stay with us. When our housekeeping staff has found evidence that a guest has smoked in our rooms an extra cleaning charge will apply. All rooms are clearly marked. The hot tub and pool are checked daily. Our linen and duvets have been replaced. Thank You Management

We recently went to this motel for a family meeting with my in laws from Powell River. The 5 of us including my 2 year old son and cat had a great stay. Then large room had a additional bedroom for privacy as well. The pool was a great added fun spot for our son as well. The room was clean ,beds were comfy and clean overall.Nothing fancy here so if luxury is your thing don't stay here. For us this was the best deal in thee valley and we will stay here again for sure.So if u like value and a great location try it out, you'll like it.

I had read some rather negative reviews about this Inn so I had some hesitation and would have left if it was not acceptable. What a surprise! They had given me a suite not just a room for no apparent reason. I still had the budget price. There was a microwave, a fridge, dishes, etc. in the kitchen area. I had good wifi free. The whole place was clean - cleaner than some of the expensive places I have stayed. The woman said the place had changed owners about a year ago. Could this be the reason? I will be going to Courtney again in two weeks and have already booked. Clean and safe if what I ask but this was way above that. Comfortable, friendly, accommodating.....!

Thanks so much for your valuable feedback. We are pleased that your stay was enjoyable. We have renovated a number of rooms and will soon start on our second floor. We will upgrade a booking depending on availability of rooms as we can get quite busy especially during the end of the week. All rooms have high speed wifi as you mentioned which is great for streaming content or just browsing the internet. We hope to see you soon! We booked here in desperation as our other choices were full. What a nice surprise! The motel is older and needs some upgrading. We had no air conditioning on a very hot weekend but managed with a good fan and a positive attitude. (The managers are hopeful that the aircon will be in place by next summer.) The room was spotless and sported nice new bedding and furniture. We were there for two nights and were really pleased to find our room and bathroom cleaned and the linens replaced each day. We've stayed in 5 star hotels which didn't offer that service. The bed was comfortable and the whole place quiet. All this for a bargain price--we'll be back!

Good room. They upgraded me to a king and I am ok with that. Room is rustic but clean and good!
I am here in off the season and in an end room. Quiet and secure. I would come here again to go mountain biking.

Front dest has a funny little dog named Chico. Small and very hilarious.
