So many other resorts/hotels/motels could learn from this delightful lodge. After our 11 hour drive, Michelle graciously welcomed us and showed us to our abode for the evening--providing us with restaurant flyers to make our dinner choice for the evening. Here's what we thought made this place special: - Quality goat's milk soaps; not the tacky ones you usually get,...

I stayed at the lodge for a week while in town working; I had no typical amenities that I take for granted at home and George and his wife, and then, Michelle and Thomas, filled in all those gaps. They lent me their bike to cruise around town and run errands. They sized up the bike especially for me, topping...

I so recommend staying here! Just do it! Everything I read we experienced. This is a most wonderful place to stay...and they recommended excellent eating places...with directions. Loved the burl chairs all about. Pick the dark chocolate, so good. And a real hair dryer even. Homemade soaps were wonderful..as was the heated floor. I didn't even mind hearing the train...

I read the great reviews before arriving,so impressed with the warm welcome from George. We have 2 small dogs and we were welcomed with open arms and delicious chocolate. Our room is spotless and the beds are so comfortable. Very fair prices. I have never been asked "would you like to view a room before checking in". That's very classy....

I have to say, I travel ALOT and stay in many many places ... this has to be the absolute BEST place I have ever been. Even at twice the price, I would say the same thing. Spotlessly clean ... large quiet rooms ... heated tile floors .. kitchenettes .. amazing bed .. wonderful decor. The outside is like this...

We're definitely glad we took Trip Advisor's recommendation to stay here. We've driven by the lodge over a 100 times, but will be making this a regular stop if we need to stay a night. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. The en-suite GLEAMED and we loved the heated bathroom floor. Thank you Rachel for showing us...

The reasons for the Wow!: Treated like a dignitary upon arrival, very warm welcome. Most comfortable bed to date in all my travels. Beautiful room, beautiful view. Fast internet. Heated bathroom floors. Clean, clean, clean. This motel is very obviously run by people that care and that pride is evident in every aspect of the business. It was an excellent...

This small hotel is full of surprises. The first is found at the front desk when you meet George and Rachel and they carry your bags to your room and give you a great chocolate bar. Then you are amazed at the in floor heat in the bathroom and great linen and THE most comfortable bed. We came for hockey...

First of all, this motel is cleaner than Holiday Inns which I think are very clean and the quietest of all motels. Second, The deco of the the room is quite new and well maintained. I think the hosts are perfectionists because everything is perfect. As a perfectionist myself, I can't find any fault in this motel as well as...

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas and just wanted to write a review as we totally enjoyed ourselves. Right from the warm welcome complete with imported chocolate, we found our room to exceed our expectations. The room was immaculate, very inviting, the heated floors were a plus on a cold day and the kitchen had everything we needed...
