A very lovely, relaxing evening and night in this lodge during our 2 week RV trip in Canada, after we were unable to secure a campsite for 1 night, so had to find a hotel or motel.
Clean, comfortable and a beautiful lodge.
Great nights sleep 💤.
Lovely owners.
Thank you.

If you are looking for a true rustic style mountain getaway, away from being plugged in, from noise and from everyday busy, this is one of the best places we have ever been. The views from the lodge were breathtaking and so peaceful to enjoy morning coffee. The lodge room was very spacious, clean and so quiet. The hosts made everything very comfortable and relaxing and were so kind. The food in the lodge was truly the best we’ve ever had. Made fresh from scratch. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We were only able to stay with Doris and family for one night in late August on our way to west coast, but I will ALWAYS stay here when in Golden again. Most accommodating folks, and their beautiful lodge. The food was outstanding. Can't wait for another visit.

The lodge is secluded and quiet. Very family-friendly atmosphere. Doris and Norbert are extremely helpful in all matters. Be it with tips for excursions or solving problems. The breakfast is exceptionally good!
Unfortunately the spa was not open.

My oh my what a wonderfull place to stay this is! We found it through tripadvisor and we have to agree on all the positive reviews. We arrived a bit late at the lodge while doris was cooking for other guests but not a problem. We got a very friendly reception and were shown to our room at the main floor. We could join in for dinner and we got some really nicevand freshly prepared food. What a joy after a long day of travelling!
We had a good chat with the owners about the lodge and they took all the time to make you feel completely at home.
Our room was very spacious and clean. No tv or radio at our room but we did not mind, we needed a good night sleep. Our room overlooked some
mountains which was great. We slept very well due to the absolute tranquility.
Breakfast was a joy, it is not included in your roomprice but it is worth every cent. We got fresh toast, home made jam, cream, meatballs, baked and crumbled eggs, fruit, yoghurt. All freshly made by the owners.
This lodge is a great place to spent a (couple of) night(s) if you are looking for a very quiet and comfortable place. The owners will do the rest in making you feeling more then welcome and almost like your home. A 100% must do!

Wow, what can I say other than our stay at Glenogle reminded me so much of my time in Europe. If you take the time to get to know the owners you will understand how truly fantastic this place is. We found refuge at Glenogle from a terrible experience on AirBnB. Doris took us in like we were family and put us into one of the cabins. The view from the main lodge is incredible - sunny and down the valley. The cabin was incredibly clean, wonderful carpet, and a stocked kitchenette. Her food, especially the Strawberry Rhubarb crumble, will blow your mind. If you're used to places catering to you at all hours, marginal to terrible food, and the typical tourist experience then this place definitely isn't for you and for the enjoyment of us all please stay elsewhere. If you want a down home atmosphere where basic social skills will be rewarded with that ethereal trait of true human connection and a darn good time then you will find it here. There's also a pool table, foos ball, and other fun stuff in the basement below the dining room.

If you want serenity, great food, moutain views, to feel welcomed, a wonderful sleep and the most spectacular star filled skies, Glenogle is the place for you.
For me, coming here ended up feeling almost like I was visiting family. A great big, warm hug apon arrival, chats on the terrace in the morning and delicious meals that are all homemade by Doris.
Our cabin was clean and cozy. Lots of towels, soap, ice...all the things you want after a road trip or a day hiking in the mountains. It's a quiet setting. Not a party place. I had the best sleeps I have had in years because of the peace, the comfortable bed and a belly satisfied with Doris's homemade schnitzel.
I think what some people don't understand is that this is not a big chain hotel. This is small lodge run by a lovely German couple who live on site. It is clear to me that they absolutely love having guests at their lodge but I think it is also important to understand what it means to be a good guest.
Overall: friendly but not intrusive, warm hosts, wonderful meals, great sleep, great location, peace, mountain views.

Hotel is For Sale and current owner is struggling to cope. $400 CAD for 1 night and breakfast an additional $18 each is too expensive for what it is! Hot tub closed. Spa non existent. Had to stay as arrived too late to make other plans .. better value elsewhere. At half the price would have been fine. Disappointed!

We Visited family in Prince George BC and Golden BC. We travelled to Jasper, Banff on to Golden. That we happened here was a fluke. By far the Glenogle Mountain Lodge &Spa was the nicest , cleanest and LESS EXPENSIVE place to stay. The owners, Olga and Norbert Urban, are kind, down to earth and friendly to say the least. We will most definately stay here again when we next travel to Golden. Oh! did I mention the home cook meals, made by Mme Olga Herself? WOW!

Glenogle is a bit of Bavaria with its natural wood walls and floors and beautiful views of the surrounding green woods. The rooms in the lodge were large, many with decks looking out into the surrounding valley, decorated with interesting frills and were spotless. Family cabins with kitchens were available as well. The breakfast was an ample one with eggs, meats and fritters, along with juice, fresh fruit, and coffee, as you would expect. We also enjoyed a lovely roast pork dinner with marinated and cooked red cabbage, seasoned mashed potatoes and brown gravy and cobbler for desert. There was an on-premisses bar that stayed open into the evening. Golden hosts a ski area but we used it to access Banff, Jasper, and nearby national parks. Take the last exit before Golden coming from Yoho NP on C 1 and the signs will direct you to the Inn.
