My husband and I stayed in a private room at the Dreamcatcher hostel for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. It's located in a great area with several restaurants and a grocery store nearby and it's easy to get to Yoho and Banff parks by car. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with local suggestions. Our room and...

Stayed at various hostels throughout BC and this has to be the best of the lot. Comfortable beds, large shower rooms, very helpful staff. Highly recommend, we used as a Base Camp for a local white water rafting firm as we thought we would make the most of being in the area.

Myself and four friends stayed here for one night before flying into the Esplanade...I have stayed here before - it is superb - very clean - comfortable rooms and our family rooms had en suites - perfect....we did not use the kitchen facilities but were impressed by the spaciousness and cleanliness. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

I wish we could have stayed more than one night. So friendly and comfortable. Our private room had everything we needed. There is some noise from the railroad, which I guess could be annoying to some people in summer when you need the windows open, as there is no air con (but there are screens on the windows). The communal...

I stayed only 1 night on my way through Golden from BC to Alberta and this hostel left me wishing I could stay an entire week. The couple who owns the hostel is incredibly friendly and I felt welcomed immediately. They even remembered my name every time I walked by in! I stayed in a private room on the third...

Me and my husband and our baby stayed in this hostel during 3 nights in July. It is such a lovely place! You can tell that the owners love what they are doing. This hostel has everything you need to enjoy your stay. It has a big and cosy common area and the kitchen part is great too. I loved...

Warm welcome and lots of helpful info on hikes and things to do provided up at the front. Lovely common room with comfy sofas and board games and musical instruments to borrow. Quiet hours are enforced and it's clear that the staff care and maintain the building well. Bunks are functional and wifi works pretty well.

The Dreamcatcher hostel was my home away from home for a week and boy am I glad I booked there! The location is ideal, with the grocery store, liquor store, bars, restaurants, and everything else within walking distance. The hostel itself is great. There is an immense common room that is spacious and cozy, where you can relax at the...

The hosts are super friendly people with a great knowledge of local attractions and restaurants. They always have time to speak wit you. The location is great, near a grocery store, shops (there aren't a lot), and tours. Rooms are very clean and some have ensuite bathrooms. There is some noise from outside. Nice common area and a well-equipped kitchen.

Our first ever hostel in our 50s. Wish we had used earlier if all this good. Gerald and Abi are brilliant hosts and have created a warm, welcoming environment. Clean, tidy rooms and bathroom, central position. Highly recommend.
