The room, a suite, was updated and very clean. We took advantage of their green initiative and used the money to enjoy the very cozy lounge. Once again the staff was fabulous. Little things like calling us by our first names within hours.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel 2 times in the last week. We booked to stay there on the way to Alberta and liked it so much that we decided to stop again on the way back! The hotel is well preserved historically...More
We love the Hume! We went to the library for supper and asked the guitarist to play our song. He said he didn’t know it, but he learned it during his break and totally surprised us when he played it! We had many delicious meals...More

Thank you for this review, Melissa. We appreciate it.
Just stayed 2 nights at the Hume & really enjoyed it. Splurged on the Barrister's Suite...very nice! We rarely use hotel tubs for obvious reasons but the soaker tub & bathroom were spotless so we enjoyed them. Love the décor & the history! General store...More
The Hume Hotel is a full-service Nelson landmark originally built in 1898 and is a must-see part of your trip to the area. We just completed a 12-year renovation. All floors have been renovated …Morebeautifully, maintaining that heritage charm that it is known for while incorporating some new technology like air conditioning and flat screen tvs. Centrally located, it includes the Aura Spa & Salon, General Store Family Restaurant, Mike's Place Pub, the Library Lounge, the Spiritbar entertainment venue, the Liquor Boutique and Banquet Facilities. Overnight stays in any of the guest rooms include a full hot complimentary breakfast in the morning made to your liking. This hotel is full of history, character and amazing staff. Less
