Awesome! More like a nice hotel. Our room was lovely and very clean. Although we were woken up at 6am in the mornings because of sunlight (need some block out curtains!) and traffic on Baker St. Would definitely stay there again. Highly Recommended!

Friendly staff, nice and clean! Had a private room with my friend, small but big enough! Washrooms were clean. Location was very central, perfect for our night out, walking distance from everything! Glad we stayed here.

This was our first stop in Canada and we had a very pleasant one night stay. Luckily it was extremely easy to find as we came very unprepared with directions. There is a sink in the room which is great, but shared bathrooms. I loved the furniture! The shared kitchen was nice and big, had plenty of utensils to share... More

The moment you walk into the hostel it warms the cockles of your heart. Walk down the stairs to a modern and clean kitchen, with a cozy seating area that opens out onto an outdoor patio. The rooms are comforting and relaxing. I highly recommend experiencing this vibrant and well located hostel.

The friendly manager and female staff are terrific, upbeat, very welcoming and assist you whenever needed. Hallowe'en was great, costume decorations and pumpkins. Very relaxing stay 5 nights of peace and quiet. Convenient location to beautiful Nelson and mountain valleys, scenery is Rockie mountain awesome, very little commercialisation in the midst of nature and animals to see.

The best hostel I've been to thus far. Very clean rooms with nice furniture, a lot of wood. The common areas are nicely equipped, the staff is friendly and the overall atmosphere appealing. I definitely recommend this place if you look for an above-average hostel for very fair prices.

I stayed at the Dancing Bear Inn with 3 of my friends. I stayed in a private room with one of my friends. Everything about this hostel was perfect. It was in a great location, the hostel rooms, common area, kitchen and bathrooms were clean, airy and pleasant. Customer service was also great. I would most definitely stay here again... More

I stayed here before and after Shambhala 2015. The beds are super comfortable whether in dorm or private. I liked that they have lockers in the dorm rooms where you can store your personal belongings. Just bring your own luck (obviously!). Front desk was really friendly and easily accommodated a change to my reservation. Dancing bear also attracts a truly... More

Great place to stay in Nelson. Perfect central location, really friendly staff, very clean. We were in a private double. The shared kitchen is pretty small but still very usable and so good to be able to save some money and make your own food.

Dancing Bear had one of the best private hostel rooms I've stayed in. And the best kitchen I've seen in a hostel. Everything is new and clean, with loads of space in the fridge and kitchen for food. There's a decent size common area in the lobby and in the kitchen to meet people, but it's definitely not somewhere I'd... More
