Having just completed another stay, Oceanside village resort continues to provide everything we look for in a vacation rental. We have stayed in many different cottages and find them all slightly different in furnishings. The beds have always been most comfortable and the

This was our second time at Oceanside (5 years apart)and we would again recommend it. Each small house is detached and is offered in a variety of size options. We had a bedroom and loft with two single beds this time which had two bathrooms as well as kitchen, living room,

We stayed here for a pre-Christmas break, thinking we would be able to take our dog to walk on the adjacent beach, then relax in the pool and hot tub, use the spa services and/or play some mini-golf. Despite the name, this resort is not on the ocean, and we were a half-hour walk

During the time you were here, most of Vancouver Island was out of power. It was a rare wind storm and affected everyone on Vancouver Island. I'm sorry that your trip was not what you had hoped for but I am glad to hear your cottage was not affected by the power outage. Oceanside Village Resort is a 15 minute walk and a 2 minute drive to the waterfront. Even though dogs are not allowed on the sand, there are many walking trails at the beach where dogs are allowed. We hope you will return during the summer season.

These cottages are little gems.....and they are not so little. They have everything you need for a family get away. The pool /hottub are always clean and a great way to end the day. Close to the beach, the cottages are very well maintained and have everything you need to be

We stayed for an extended stay and were delighted with the location and the staff. Resort is a bit out of the way but driving distance to restaurants is minimal. Bonus is the beach. Follow the tide charts and plan for picnics on the beach, fly a kite again, walk and snoop in the

Is there a cleaning fee, or extra fees ?
They do however charge you if you do not strip your beds, turn the dishwasher on and if they decide that something is not to their likely (which is completely up to their discretion). This is a real "buyer beware" situation!

Hi Michelle, Trip Advisor has certain guidelines reviewers must follow. In your review those were not followed, such as accusing us to running a scam. As you may have possibly noted, I did respond to your review but did alert Trip Advisor to the fact that you made such reference against our resort which was unfounded and also included that Visa agreed with you which they would never do. Kind Regards, Kathy Fraser Resort Manager

Rathtrevor is more like a 20 minute walk if you are fit or maybe 40 if you are not. Took me about 15 minutes. I walk fast though. Good luck. Hopefully you don't get loud drunk old people as your neighbors. You also don't get the same rules here as you would if you owned one of the cottages. Visitors do not get the same rules as owners. Owners are allowed to be as loud and obnoxious as they want to be.

"If planning a stay during January, February or March, book early as the resort is often booked for long stay snowbirds."
"Cottages in the 200's seem to be quieter (away from the highway sounds)"
"Update the furniture and decor!"
"New development if you don't mind being a longer walk to the pool."
"Many units have a fence that separates the from the busy highway (19A). It did not make for good patio space."
