We stayed only for one night, but the highlight was going into brand new, very clean washroom and shower areas. They have gone all out on the construction of a new facility containing men’s and ladies washrooms, a kitchen area, and laundry facilities. The whole site is very clean and the people were all lovely to deal with both on the phone and in person. Downsides: RV sites are close together. And the train runs relatively close by, but I could tune that out no problem.

Thank you for your wonderful and informative review. We're delighted you liked the new bathrooms and facilities building. Sorry you found the sites a little close together; we're a small campground within the city limits but if we had more land, it would certainly be something I would like to change; that and the noice from the trains! :)

Friendly and welcoming family owned campsite. Beautifully kept grounds and facilities. We had to stop here on our return trip to the west as my children loved it so much. Safe for them to play and a lovely little play ground. Clean, warm showers and WiFi. Perfect for a road trip stop or to explore the area. Highly recommend

I had booked a 2 night stay here for a few months away, then about two weeks before our scheduled trip The BC Wildfires started and a Provincial State of Emergency was declared. Because to travel restriction recommendations it was necessary to cancel our complete trip, I cancelled 6 different campsites and all were compliant and understanding except Lamplighter which insisted on charging the cancellation fee..I explained to them the reason for the cancellation to no avail..they obviously needed that $10 fee even though it was special circumstances...Not customer friendly

We are sorry you feel so disappointed with your experience. We try our best to be flexible, fair and accommodating for our customers; and have also tried to make our cancellation policy reasonable (ahead of 48 hours a $10.50 cancellation / booking fee; and then 48 hours or less is one night's accommodation charge). Please remember you did agree to the policy at the time of booking and it was reconfirmed to you in the confirmation email sent. The stated reason for cancelling was that your trip to the Osoyoos area was cancelled / no longer possible due to the wildfires there. At the time you cancelled, more than 3 weeks prior to your planned stay with us, there were and are still no travel restrictions to Revelstoke. As such, a nominal cancellation fee ($10.50) was applied for the 2 sites cancelled. We are saddened that our following the agreed policy has caused such disappointment.

Cheerful staff/owners. Well maintained and clean. Quiet except the trains occasionally at night. Many trees and spacious sites. Highlight of the campground was its newly constructed super clean washrooms and showers. Reasonable price!!

Lamplighters campground is a hidden gem. A quick walk or bike ride across the bridge and you are in Revelstoke. Green, well-kept grass, brand new deluxe washrooms, lovely immaculate grounds. The owners are super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning here for years to come
