This B&B/Hotel is in the historic district and walking distance to the downtown Yarmouth area. Of particular note, was Neil, the proprietor. Right from the first phone call, he went above and beyond to ensure our stay would be enjoyable and memorable. It felt like he took great joy and pride to inform us of the history of the inn...

It's all about the guest(s)... and that is why I ask if they have any dietary needs and we will make sure they are taken care of . Thank you for finding us and we hope you come back again.

Early August had - as non B&B guests - dinner which was so good. So after sailing to Lunenburg I sailed back here to have another wonderful meal. Great fish soup, delicious chicken ballotine, desert with fresh strawberries. You can bring your own wine, but no need, they serve a few nice NS (and other) wines. All at more then...

Went on an "overnighter" trip to Yarmouth from Halifax. Stayed at this beautiful, charming, "old lady"! We stayed in the 1960 room. Neil and Michael the owners are so very gracious and made us feel very welcomed! The history and their journey to restore this lovely Victorian house, as well as 3 others, is fascinating! Chef Michael prepared a fabulous...

We worked with Neil to set up a 3 night/ 4 day stay for 9 ladies from various parts of the US who came together to learn a little about Nova Scotia and a lot about painting. Upon their arrival they were served a wonderful tea and later that day a fabulous 5 course dinner. Everyone raved about the breakfasts,...

If for not other reason than to experience the exquisite charm of the MacKinnon-Cann Inn, Yarmouth should be a stopping point on your places to visit in Nova Scotia. The Inn 2 blocks off the main street and has been beautifully restored by owners Michael Tavares and his partner Neil Hisgen, who not only runs the Inn but also the...

Each room in this beautifully renovated historic building has a theme. Ours was from I Love Lucy, complete with comfortable twin beds and 1950s furnishings. Our bathroom was large and had great lighting. Good wifi. Air conditioning not needed (the only minor issue was that our window fan had a squeak). Neil and Michael have put a lot of effort...

Neil and Michael are excellent hosts in this B and B where each room is decorated in a different decade. My husband and I stayed in the 60's room---beaded curtain, orange floor lamp, canvases of stretched fabric. It was awesome! And the added benefit---an excellent restaurant within the B and B. Chef Michael put on a three course dinner that...

Beautifully renovated property in the heart of Yarmouth, but a quiet street. Lovely "1960's" themed room, quite large, great bathroom, high ceiling made it feel even bigger. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast nicely presented and delicious. Neil and Michael are great hosts. Highly recommend.
