We went to Collingwood use our Christmas Gift Certificate to the Scandinave Spa and decided to make it a romantic weekend away. Our stay at the Craigleith Manor Bed and Breakfast was excellent. We were welcomed wholeheartedly by our hosts Guy and Craig and being the only guests on this lockdown weekend gave use private use of the main floor with the beautiful fire place in a splendidly decorated living room. We had our own table by the window where we were served our gourmet breakfasts. The property backed onto the Georgian Trail which we walked for an hour but could have walked or rode bikes much further. We look forward to returning soon!
Despite Covid putting so many restrictions on us, we were able to have the quick winter vacation we so badly needed. We went on a Monday- Wednesday so we ended up having the whole place to ourselves which was great. We were greeted by Guy at the front door, who practiced safe distancing and wore a mask the whole stay. His warm and inviting personality made us relax as soon as we got inside. Our room was bright, comfortable and spacious with a gorgeous view of the Georgian trails. The entire house was immaculately clean and so cozy at the same time. The guest kitchen offered an array of coffee and teas, as well as sparkling and still water that is on the house! Each morning we were woken up by the delicious smell of Guy’s cooking. Our breakfast was fresh, healthy and tasty! I would highly recommend Craigleith Manor and want to emphasize how safe we felt despite our stay being during Covid 19. Sanitizers were all throughout the house and minimal contact was made. Definitely a must stay place if you are visiting Collingwood!…
Craigleith Manor delivered everything we were expecting and more. The house looks like it was torn from the pages of a home design magazine. Our room was spotless and beautiful - you know that feeling you get when you open the door and it's better than the photos? My husband and I were there for my milestone birthday and we will definitely be back. Craig was the perfect host. Breakfast was amazing. My husband is still dreaming of the maple smoked bacon. My memories are of the homemade strawberry and raspberry jams and the perfect omelette. Having the Georgian trail access in the back yard was a bonus. Can't wait to visit again in the summertime!
After reading such incredible reviews, we knew we had to experience this piece of paradise for ourselves. The property was gorgeous inside and out and the host, Guy, was so warm, welcoming, and not to mention, an amazing chef! Breakfast was different every morning and it was finger-licking delicious even with our vegan diet! Guy was also generous in sharing information about activities and dining in the area and we were more than happy with those we tried. Our room was amazingly decorated with a wonderful mix of country and contemporary decor and the view was breathtakingly relaxing! This experience was the best romantic getaway we've had in 10 years and we are certainly looking forward to making it a part of our marriage tradition!
