I would highly recommend this place
Due to flight cancellation, only ended up staying two nights rather than the pre-booked three, however Zakk on reception was excellent and took off the first night cost after contacting hotel to inform them we wouldnt be making it that first night - great service.
Hotel is brand new and very well appointed. Room has everything you need and is also got all the up to date usb/power points exactly where you need them. Very good sleep.
Would definitely use again when visiting area and fully recommend!
The hotel opened 8 month ago so you expect for it to be up to date in "technology " not being build like in the fifties...
It is upsetting as the rooms are very big, have a full kitchen with freezer/fridge, dishwasher. The bathroom is also very spacious and the shower, a walk in, is big but then you get that little shower head that has not much pressure.
The bed is comfy. But next to it you have the heating/cooling unit (huge) and it is just under the window. It sounds like to have an idling truck parked in front of your window.
My friends had also rented a room (they were on the 2nd floor, we were on the 4th) and they had the same issue. Nobody got much sleep...
I am a big traveler and usually you do not see that kind of AC/heating system anymore....only in old hotels or cheap motels.
It is too bad as Collingwood is in need of some good hotels/resorts.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the bed was amazing, it was in a perfect location not far from anything, and only a short drive to the beach in wasaga.
A dishwasher, cutlery, clean plates, a good fridge. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable and had a wonderful shower. The only regret was that the head was fixed and not moveable, and without a bath option.
Regardless of that, everything else was perfect. One of the most clean and comfortable hotels i have ever stayed in, and I am already planning next year's visit.
There was a reclining chair with a well designed table for use with the chair. This set up would be ideal for someone who wished to have a comfortable chair and do work on a laptop and/or have a snack or meal and watch television.
To eat meals or to do work on a computer, there was a raised counter bar with two stools that slid underneath. The stools had backs on them that provided comfort as well as support.
There were hooks for coats located conveniently near the entrance to the room. There were plenty of hangers with two clothing rods and a dresser located in another alcove.
The bathroom was also well laid out with ample counter space and space underneath the counter. In addition to a towel bar attached to the sliding glass shower door, there was another one on the wall and also two hooks for hanging towels. So many hotels only provide one hook, which is challenging for a couple who would both like to hang their used towels to dry after a shower.
The television was a smart TV. It hung on the wall attached to an arm which allows guests to adjust the viewing angle.
The kitchenette had a full size refrigerator with freezer on top. There was a good selection of pots and pans, cutlery, serving pieces as well as dishes. They also included dish soap, a hot pad for removing items from the microwave and a tea towel. There was also a cooktop, toaster and coffee machine with coffee provided.
The room was meticulously clean. The bed and linens were of quality and made for an excellent night sleep.
We spoke to two different front desk staff during our stay and both were super friendly, proud of the hotel. They made check in and check out easy. We also spoke with cleaning staff and complimented them on their excellent work. You could tell from their response that they were also proud of the hotel.
I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who will be staying in Collingwood. Thank you for providing such wonderful accommodation!
"Be prepared that the shower is standing only and some suites, i do not know if this is true for all, but some, include no bath. Bring your own media, cable is limited."Read full review
