Hubby and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary. The rooms are quaint and cozy and we enjoyed the fireplace. We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa which was amazing and relaxing. We ended up signing up for the membership. Staff were super nice and remembered us by first name which was appreciated. Dinner was seriously the best I've...

Very cozy country hotel. They are very accommodating with round the clock shuttles to some of the farther cottages. The food was great and all of the staff were top notch and some of the friendliest resort staff I've ever encountered.

We visited the Briars for two nights and purchased the trip via Wag Jag. The grounds are beautiful and even in the winter, the ambiance is very enjoyable. There are small self-contained fires with that great smoky smell around the grounds. We had a view of the lake. Our room had a balcony with two chairs. The room was clean...

My significant other and I visited this historic place tucked into the shores of the incredibly beautiful Lake Simcoe. The Briars is chock full of history and goes way back to when the British gave massive land grants to their retiring naval officers. After all, the "colonies" were won by them (from our aboriginal peoples). We enjoyed a massage, manicure...

We visited this past Fri & Sat nights and were blown away by the uniqueness of the homey atmosphere with the many cozy dining rooms. But that was only the beginning-it was the personal service by Nicole that made it special for both of us. She treated us so well, taking the time to get to know us, that impressed...

are the reasons that my husband and I chose to stay at The Briar's last night. We chose the Canopy Room in the Manor house. The room was very cozy and the bed was so comfortable. For one person. We found that it was extremely tight quarters and if there is such a thing, the bed was way too soft...

Hi Tammy. I'm so pleased that the food was 5 star, the resort clean and well taken care of, and the service was above and beyond. Thanks for your suggestion about the bed. You might also find the Blue Room and Green Room in Manor very comfortable. They are larger corner rooms with a king bed. We look forward to...

My daughter and I had a most restful and pleasant stay in the beautiful Briars Resort and Spa. Staff were so very accommodating and always willing to make every effort to make our stay so comfortable. Stayed in the Leacock wing last week for a one night getaway with my wife. The Wagjag deal seemed decent for the one night with dinner and breakfast. The check in was quick and efficient. The room was quaint. If you're looking for modern, up to date room...this isn't the place. The bed was very comfortable. I upgraded to have...

So pleased, JgolfT, to see the bed was comfy, the fireplace enjoyable, the dinner excellent. Thanks for your helpful comments - we are onto the foamy beer and ping pong paddles. Not sure what's up with the pool table - it's pretty awesome and just leveled and recovered - maybe it's your spin shots! Hope we see you back for...
