Checked in and went to have dinner in town. Came back, in bed, and in a few minutes lots of bed bugs biting. Tried to get hold of the owners but no answer. Ended up sleeping in the vehicle over night at the local Walmart. What a horrible experience. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Sure this motel may need a few upgrades, but it was peaceful and quiet, my room was very clean and had a comfortable bed; handy kitchenette; close by to subway and m&M for food; I didn't mind the cozy furniture - i'm not there to do roller derby, but to sleep and spend some time. Great water view. I was...

The fact that this place is open is a black eye for anyone responsible for building safety or lodging in Kenora. Completely infested with spiders. Webs, live insects, egg sacs in every room. In the 2 minutes I lasted I counted 20+ live spiders, among the feeder insects that must have attracted them. The corner of the room had separated...

We were travelling & stopped in Kenora. The Comfort Inn was too pricey but they recommended the Anchor Inn. We drove there & liked the location. We parked in the back & walked through a little pass-away noticing some cobwebs. We got to the front & noticed more cobwebs & spiders hanging from the lights & the bench. As we...

I have no clue about the cleanliness of the "resort" I would not recommend it. I booked a room for my daughter on July 3, for Saturday August 1 and called to confirm on July 31. I was told that all was ok, a room with one bed was reserved. My daughter arrived, no room was available and the desk...

Anchor marina inn Disgusted! Don't ever stay there. Trust me! For the first time I have not been in this terrible condition of "INN". It should be updated and with a serious new foundation of the whole building. It is cute and nice on the outside but not so much in the inside. Outside is nice but not in excellent...

My fiancé and I were driving through Kenora on our way to Calgary and were simply looking for a place to crash for the night. I wasn't looking for anything special - just somewhere with a clean bed to sleep, and a place to shower. I didn't think that was asking for too much. We found the Anchor Inn and...

I came through town looking for a no-frills place and found it. It has an awesome view of the marina, and the price was right around $85 including taxes... Sure the rooms and buildings are dated, but it was built in 1939, so I can imagine the floors being a bit sloped... I don't care about little things like that......

We were there for just over 6 weeks for work, and loved the place. The rooms had were comfortable, and the view was great. Nice deck for everyone to go around and visit each other, met lots of nice people traveling through. Emily, Patricia, & Justin treated us all like family, we can't thank them enough for the great time...

Had a family get together in Kenora......some of us stayed at the Anchor Inn. It was surprisingly cleaner on the inside than it looked from the outside. The bed was nicely done up.....but really old and uncomfortable. The shower felt like a pressure washer., and they have so much old junkie furniture in the rooms, it is hard to move...
