The location of this B&B is good, the house is old and the rooms are clean and spacious. But what made this place memorable for me was the host and his wonderful breakfast. I happened to stay during the off season while travelling on business and was the only guest. As luck would have it, my host was more than...

We very much enjoyed our stay here at the end of the season. The room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The location is great - just on the edge of the pretty little downtown - and the old house is just wonderful. Due to it being an old house there is only one shower that all the guests share,...

Sorry, Some rooms have private showers and some share the main bathroom shower.

This was a comfortable stay but not what I thought it would be from the website. For $200 per night I thought it would be quite elegant. In fact, our room was in what would have been a garage at one time. The room was cramped, with low end furniture. It had an acoustic tile ceiling and a very small...

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the 1875 Charters Inn. WOW what a place. This B&B was exactly what the doctor ordered. Every thing from great food, location location, location, warmth and the largest hammock underneath a maple tree ever. This was time well spent. The "Captains Quarters" room was incredible. Private entrance and direct entrance to the patio....

I went for my 50 birthday with my husband in Midland and we stayed in this bed and breakfast for the night. My first impressions were that it was very clean, spacious, and the host was very friendly and welcoming. In the morning, the breakfast was excellent (and healthy), and overall a great experience. I will stay here again when...

My wife and I always enjoy traveling to off the beaten path places. Every June, it is a tradition of ours to escape the Virginia heat and fly to somewhere in the Great Lakes region--ideally to a small town or region that few people have even heard of! This year we decided on three nights in Midland, Ontario as I...

My fiancee and I selected the suite (the Pilothouse) Melanie complained about. Frankly, it was a great experience. Yes, the water closet is situated in a, well, a closet!! It was a hoot - a great memory. But then again, the website says "in suite water closet", not ensuite. The balcony is somewhat functional but again, access to it is seasonal!!!...

We stayed for one night in 1875 a Charters Inn. It was a pleasant stay. The room was of good size. Everything was clean and functional, but furniture and the overall look was a bit outdated and not very modern. The host was a very friendly and hospitable chap; he will join you for a beer on the patio for...
