Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were 5 couples that stayed there at the beginning of October. Our room was not so bad. I would not use the bath fun it was disgusting and had hairs in it. Other couples in our party had paint peeling off the ceilings and the rooms were not nice. The hallway had dirty carpets.
The front desk staff were very pleasant and the lobby was very nice.
Would not stay there again. The pictures of rooms are not what any of seen on the computer.

Do not believe the photos. They must have been taken when the hotel was new. Old stained, wrinkled carpets in the hallways and lobby, peeling paint everywhere, extremely outdated rooms, stiff beds, poor bedding, seedy neighborhood and for some reason the whole place smells like hot dogs.

This is a low priced hotel but I can't say it's bad. Rooms are big and comfortable, the view from the room we had felle on the Rideau canal and it's park so it wasn't bad. Bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. Free breakfast is included, basic but a bit of everything. In need of some TLC but it seems they're starting it. My only concern, or rather disappointment is the staff. When we checked in on December 2nd
the manager was very polite and professionnal. We even exchanged with her and she was quite pleasant. However from that moment on until our departure she was not there to supervise the desk personnel. Seeing us getting close to the desk, they would bend their head and pretend to do something. No Hello, Good morning or Have a nice day. Until our departure this morning December 4th, 3 young ladies and one male desk clerck never even looked at us. Arriving home, I checked my VISA card to fina a $ 100.00 charge on my card. I'm giving it a day or so to see if it was not a deposit in case of damages. It better not be there by Tuesday.

Definitely dodged a bullet there.
Booked based on the pictures, thinking it would be fine for an overnight stop.
From the parking area it looked a bit shaby, and the area none to friendly. Getting into the building, you notice immediately that it is scruffy, and seen better days.
There was a problem with our booking, and the receptionist in all fairness did her best to try and sort it as our booking had been canceled. Not necessarily their fault, but led to a long winded check in including phone calls to booking . com once sorted the hotel tried to charge double what I had originally paid for my first booking.
In the meantime my family were waiting and couldn't help but notice the state of the place. Dusty, Cobwebs all over the place generally grubby, tatty carpets. Enough of a bad 1st impression to change our minds and go elsewhere.
Coincidentally while looking for a place to eat, we met a few locals, who without knowing we'd booked or had planned to stay there, told us "Whatever you do, do not book the Econo Lodge." Wise words I think.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed. We had to take a room to stay for my mom's funeral, and we got the last room. Next time I would consider driving all night to another city instead.

This grungy place is tucked away behind a factory - you need to use an alley to get to it.

When we arrived, there was Noone at the desk. He showed up after 5 or 10 minutes. Our room smelled strongly of urine and smoke. He couldn't give us another room as they were full. He gave us a can of air freshener. It didn't help. Pigeons cooing through the night - when you go to shoo them you see all their feces that has been built up and not cleaned. Another tenant told me he had more than we did.

My daughter went down to get a new key for us, as ours stopped working. The guy at the front desk didn't ask for any ID or anything. She could have gotten a key for any room. I walled up then and he saw I was with her - I never met him before and he handed me the keys no questions.

I walked thr other floors to see if they smelled too. Yup. But they had big stains on the ground.

Public health officials need to shut it down.

Do yourself a favor and don't go here. Drive to Perth or Kingston if you have to.

This is the worst place I've ever stayed, the bathroom was disgusting. Completely unsanitary, this is a public health disaster. Don't stay here unless you want to catch some disease, I could add photos but the buildup on the bathroom rooms and state of the toilet would have you nauseous

Where do I start! This hotel is very tired and run down. The whole place, especially the corridors smelled of old, stale smoke although to be fair the room wasn’t too bad. The room was okay but very bland and uninviting, the carpet was strained through years of used while the fridge and microwave had definitely seen better days. The view was nice but the balcony was horrible, it was painted in battleship grey and was like a prison cell. Don’t get me started on the awful breakfast!! Oh, and the lock on the door failed every time we used the key card. Conclusion, the whole building needs knocking down.

Price. However that and the name of the hotel should have been my first clue!!!

Don’t be fooled by the pictures!

Not a good place. Very outdated place and in serious need of updates and cleaning. Parking is in a sketchy unlit area behind strip plaza, not a place you want to walk out at night. Did not feel safe walking from the hotel to the main street strip.

Hotel room was very unsanitary. Used Kleenex and garbage found around the bed. Sunday morning we woke up with strange bug bites. Upon further inspection the bed had signs of bed bugs. There was also bodily fluid stains on the mattress, mattress topper and sheets. Bed were just disgusting. When we approached the manger at check out to discuss our concerns they were very dismissive, acting like they had no idea what we were talking about. Manager said they would get someone in to check the room and follow up. We were expecting the hotel to be a little dated but not unclean. Extremely disappointed.
If I read reviews before we would not have booked.
Who doesn’t want to come home from a weekend away to do full bedbug protocol.

The Motel was very dated and dirty. We. Ever for any Daily Maid service, so we had lots of garbage piled up. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the people beside us at 130 in the morning partying, even though they were supposed to be quiet by 11
