We enjoyed our stay at this quiet hotel, as it was a convenient location for us, being next to a large grocery store/mall, Walmart and restaurant etc. As we were in the area to do some hiking on the east side of Jasper, this location on the west side of Hinton worked well for us.
We were happy with the spacious King Studio suite. The large TV was super HD, and had an excellent channel selection, including the full range of free Stingray music channels. The nightlight in the bathroom was helpful, and we liked the cool blinds that let in day light but gave privacy at the same time. The curtains did blockout light well.
Unfortunately on the 1st day we noticed a few hairs in the bath tub and floor of bathroom, which put us off. But, the next day the housekeeper had tidied and cleaned up the room very nicely. Also, the bathroom had very dim lighting.

The breakfast (even during Covid) as a full hot breakfast and the breakfast attendant was so friendly, he really made our stay! Hence the 'very good' rating vs. average.

Yes this is not a new hotel but it is in good repair and clean overall, and has friendly staff.

The location is very quiet just off highway 16 on the farthest West side of Hinton.. Walking across the street there are street there are grocery stores and restaurants.. The Front staff were always friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean with a Mini fridge and microwave. The noise does travel very easily between between floors and rooms. Try to get a room farthest away from the front desk. Breakfast was typical eggs, meat, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, cereal.. Quality was just average. However, they have a full time staff dedicated on keeping the Breakfast area fully stocked and clean which was appreciative as many people and crews were coming and going and it was nice to have everything filled and cleaned. Is hot tub and pool are still not open

The good:
All of the staff were incredible. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast room to the housekeeping were always helpful and friendly.

The room was spotless and everything we could have needed was there. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure.

Fresh coffee was available in the lobby throughout the day.

The bad:
The building obviously went up during the boom years when speed was more important than quality. Little issues like caulking cracked around the tub/shower, rusting on the towel rack and cracks in the sink show that the quality could have been better. There also is not a lot of soundproofing between the suites or the floors because we heard everything from the hallway and around & above us. We travel with a white noise machine, but without it, the noise could have become a problem. Not the fault of the management, and I’m sure they are aware of it, but it does bring that first impression of a new hotel down a few notches.

There are signs around the building asking guests not to back into the stalls, but this is not enforced. We discovered it the hard way when two large pickup trucks were idling outside our window and we woke to a strong smell of vehicle exhaust in our room. We all woke with headaches and sore throats. When we talked to the front desk they said they don’t have staff to enforce it. This might not be an issue is the higher floors, but if you are on the ground floor, be prepared to smell exhaust fumes.

Overall, I would stay here again, but only if I didn’t have pets with me and could be on a higher floor.

Arrived to find out that Pool and hot tub were closed, not a big deal if there would have been a notice of this during booking, once we arrived we were on the first floor and by 6 o'clock you would have thought you were in a kennel by the amount of dogs that were barking non stop, I switched rooms and was now on the 2nd floor, what do you know, more freaking dogs barking. I have no issue with hotels having pet friendly rooms but why not keep them in one area or one floor not everyone are pet people. Come the morning to check out ( 11AM) housekeeping knocks on my door at 9, seriously? and when I said we were OK that we didn't need the room cleaned , we had 4 room attendants stand outside our room for the next 30 minutes having a very loud conversation, they may have been sitting in the room with us. The breakfast was sausage, scrambled eggs and hash browns, that they gave you to take to your room due to Covid protocols, the so called sausage was inedible and the rest was cold even before heading to the room, the good thing is that McDonald's is only a block away so my 9 year old was happy. The good points are that the room seemed clean and the Front desk were friendly.

We stayed at the Ramada hotel in Hinton on March 2nd. We arrived at 4pm and were checked out by 7. We chose this hotel because the reviews signalled that it was family friendly, has a pool, laundry and hot breakfast. Upon arrival there was an error on the booking that didn’t include my husband and our children. Once we got that sorted I asked if we could have a room on the top floor facing the mountains. We are from Ontario and heading to BC my husband and our children hadn’t ever seen mountains and we wanted to enjoy the view. The hotel receptionist was not thrilled and said “we don’t put people with kids on the top floor. We don’t need noise complaints.” I really felt like our family was being treated more like an inconvenience than a welcomed guest. I didn’t feel it was fair that we don’t get to have any preference to our room because we have kids. we had been travelling all day with young kids and needed somewhere to lay our heads for the night. After getting the children settled I headed to the front desk to find out about laundry so we could have fresh clothes for the morning as we had been travelling for 5 days we were low on clean laundry. However the same receptionist who checked us in informed us that we couldn’t do laundry as they had no laundry cards and she couldn’t help me at all. The pool was a great way for my kids to burn off energy and we enjoyed a soak in the hot tub to ease our stiff muscles after the long drive. The jets were not functioning on the hot tub but it was still nice and warm. When we went to check out we had discovered that the receptionist had added a 20$ charge because of our kids. Luckily the receptionist in the morning was sympathetic and removed the 20$ charge. She was disheartened to hear about our experience.i do not get a family friendly feel from this hotel. All of our kids were in bed asleep by 830-9pm they weren’t overly rambunctious as me and my girls went for a hike and to do some local shopping after checking In and then we all hit the pool. All in all our family leaves the Ramada in Hinton feeling like we are unvalued guests and discriminated against for having a family. We were hoping to Find a lovely hotel to spend during our annual trips out west. Instead I’m leaving saddened my our experience and feeling inadequate.

Our stay was a little while ago, in September, and the last of our hotels after a roadtrip through the Rockies. Would we come back? No. Our stay was okay. Room was fine, beds were fine. That's about it. The bed lamp was broken, the toiletpaper holder was broken, the bathroom was not clean at all. Rooms and hallway were very noisy. There's lots of rubbish scattered around the hotel entrance. Our door didn't lock, as we found out later that night, so everybody could have walked in and out for a whole day. Safeway and restaurants are at walking distance, which is a good thing when you want to extend your breakfast, since all items have been taken away by the busloads of Asian tourists most of the days. We did not visit the swimming pool. The drive to Jasper National Park takes about an hour.

We booked through Expedia and asked for a pet friendly room. The day prior to our check-in, someone called us from the hotel and told us they did not have the pet friendly king room that we had requested but they were going to downgrade us to a bedroom that had two queen size beds. I told them I would not take the downgrade, especially since they were not offering to lower our rate whatsoever. I argued that they should actually be upgrading us, since they were unable to accommodate the request. They moved us up to a one bedroom suite after I pointed that out.

Check in was a disaster. The guy that was in front of me had room keys that did not work and he came down for new ones. Five minutes later, he stormed back down because the hotel gave him keys to a room that was already occupied by a family that was sleeping.

There must be zero sound insulation between the second and first floor. Our first night was an absolute nightmare, we could hear the two people upstairs talking and their child’s every footfall. The air-conditioning in our room sounded, and I’m not exaggerating, like sleeping next to a jet engine. Every time that it kicked in, my partner and I woke up.

The socially distanced breakfast was served cold, even though it is hot food. It was so bad that we skipped it entirely the second morning.

There were stains on the carpet from previous pet accidents.

I would never stay here again.

The room was great as usual and we noticed a large multiple outlet with USB plug ins right behind the light. Great addition. As mentioned in the title, they had a hot breakfast offering of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, seasoned potato wedges and baked beans all served to you in a box to be taken back to the room. Great adaptation during Covid times.

We always stay at this property. It is clean and offers a lot of value for what we pay. We have never been disappointed and have enjoyed every stay we have had there! The beds are super comfortable and the room was as well. We enjoyed the yummy breakfasts that were great to start our days. The staff cleaned the rooms so well and the beds always felt fresh and comfortable.

There was an issue in the bathroom of the room I booked. The bathroom was not clean the toilet seat was dirty all yellow and there was water in the bath tub. I came to the reception with this the girl who was working that time understood my problem and offered me a refund or a downgraded queen room that she said someone in the morning will adjust. As I reached late and was tired driving took the queen room option. The lady named Christina was working When checkout out of the hotel she was not supportive and understanding. They gave me $95 per night room and charged $110 for first night and $106 for second and talked like she did some sort of a favour to me. I talked to her about it and showed screen shots of the room with $95 price. After lot of discussion and checking herself she changed one night to $95 and other too $106.
Firstly, they downgraded my room and charged more. As I booked and paid for king suite and they gave me queen room.
Secondly, the lady Christina was rude and said yes you can complain, give a bad review and do whatever you like. The behaviour was not professional.

I would never stay here again and will suggest anyone the same
