The Adina Apartment Hotel Pentridge Melbourne garners praise for its expansive, immaculate rooms that boast an array of amenities and scenic views. Nestled in a modern setting that beautifully incorporates historical elements, the hotel offers a stylish ambiance that guests appreciate.
While the on-site dining, cinema, and shopping enhance the guest experience, opinions on service and value show a divide, with some citing excellent hospitality and others noting inconsistencies. Its location is celebrated for historical importance and transport access, though a few deem it slightly isolated.

Everyone should view this hotel, whether you stay there or just have a visit.
If you stay there you will have the joy of, large, quiet room, comfortable bed, quiet air conditioning, great bathroom and nice view. Attractive dining room with nice varied menu and good food. Fabulous pool area. Awesome areas to walk around and awesome bar area that you will want to explore. Tram right out front that will take you straight to the CBD in 30 minutes and short distance to the Airport in an Uber. Very reasonably priced rooms given it is five star.

We enjoyed the location of Adina, it was easy to get to favourite restaurants in Brunswick and we were near to where our son lives. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable, we stayed in a studio room and it was spacious with everything we needed for a short stay. It was a great quiet location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Great location, with a tram stop outside Adina, Coburg train station less than 10-minute walk away and parking available nearby or paid parking under Adina.
The distance views of the city were great.
The one-bedroom room contained a separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette/lounge. The bedroom was lovely and spacious with a flat screen TV, safe, storage, etc. The bathroom included a washing machine and dryer. The kitchenette/lounge with a very comfortable couch, 2-seater small dining table, flat screen TV and kitchenette with a small dishwasher, medium size fridge, sink, etc.
The room was lovely, well decorated and clean.
Bar and restaurant onsite with a small shopping center behind Adina.
Service was fantastic. Highly recommend staying here.

We had our first stay at the Adina Apartment Hotel at Pentridge; the former Pentridge Prison which has been converted to a hotel and dining complex. Well...the developer and all involved did an amazing job; the entire complex (both the interior and exterior) was stylish, modern and comfortable.
When we arrived quite late at the hotel and very tired from a delayed interstate flight, we were ‘greeted’ by a grumpy unsmiling person at the front desk! It really doesn’t take much to smile at guests when they arrive at the hotel! The next day however was a totally different experience. We were greeted exuberantly by the staff at the front desk, as if we were long lost friends, it was crazy, quite the opposite to the previous evening.
We booked a studio style room with a king size bed that had a lovely view over the courtyard and the room was surprisingly spacious. The in-room climate control thermostat kept the room nice and cosy, but it was quite noisy during the night, and we had to turn it off. The block-out blinds were a good quality fabric and blocked out any light during the night. We thought the mattress was too firm for our liking, and the pillows provided were one firm pillow and one soft pillow, which catered to guests needs. I used the in-room hairdryer, but the “off” switch was broken on the hairdryer and could only be turned on and off at the wall power outlet. I really don’t know why some hotels don’t provide water bottles in the room! I would have been more than happy to pay for any water bottles we consumed, had it been provided in the room. Apart from the usual hair and body essentials provided in the bathroom, that was it, no other amenities were provided.
Breakfast is held in the “in-house” restaurant ‘North & Centre” and they offer a la carte menu, although it’s rather condensed, but breakfast was good.
As for location, the Adina is close to public transport, easy access via tram into the city, although it did take us an hour on the tram. Also close too many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and shopping in Coburg and nearby Brunswick, etc.

This new property is outstanding. It is located in Coburg but is close to trams into the city centre. Adina Pentridge offer the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever experienced and the bathroom has good water pressure and spotless facilities. It is also very quiet. The staff are great and the Pentridge Precinct is a welcome change from the hectic CBD hotels. On site parking is easily navigated and inexpensive so remember to book in advance. Highly recommended hotel.

Well, it is good to see the original Medina ethos remains alive & well. I used the original property in Kent St., Sydney many times for conferences/training course & since then have stayed at all properties in Australia with the exception, until my visit, of Melbourne !
The room exudes quality of fittings from the Arcisan tapware to the concealed bedside lights in the headboard, you need to look for them. Also included a seriously large safe for the largest laptops. There is a microwave with instructions not to make it smoke ? & a kettle. BUT, no toaster even though the smoke detectors are above the entrance. probably the least expensive appliance that could be supplied.
There is a restaurant next to the lobby but opening days appeared haphazard so we went around to the Pentridge Mall or downtown. Even though there is an entrance to their Olivine wine bar from the prison yard you have to walk around the outside of the wall for access.
Great views of the city & easy access to the tram line

Really lovely Modern apartment accommodation, I stayed for 4 nights and had the best sleeps, great guest service from staff, Thank You Macey for the welcome and daily greetings. This accomodation has well thought out fittings and fixtures in the apartment. From the 2 different shower heads, usb charging, sinks with taps that fit the jug under them to fill up the appliance. And amazing views of the prison and stunning sunrises over the prison. Amazing dining experience in North and Common ( be sure to book ahead ) and quiet drinks in the Olivine Wine Bar another experience in the prison grounds. Within the prison walls are cafes, Iga, chemist, cinema, bars and dining. Tram stop out the front. Really well done on this build and fit out. I will be back.

The reception staff were a mixed bag. Some had no idea of how to deliver good customer service. We have stayed in many 5 star establishments that pride themselves on providing good customer service. Comparitively speaking this mob are kidding themselves with a 5 star listing. They just don't cut it.
We communicated to this hotel when we booked that my wife and I required soft/flat pillows, as we have neck and spinal problems. They messaged back saying they didn't have a variety of pillows but theirs were soft and should be ok. On that basis we went ahead with our booking. Upon arrival we found the pillows to be the highest/plumpest pillows of anywhere we have ever stayed. When we tried to sort out some flat pillows we were told they don't have anything other than what they provided. Offerred a wrote learning half apology and told there was nothing they could do to help us. A very unsatisfactory response indeed.
After 2 nights of NO sleep and excrutiating pain we had to source our own pillows from family members in Melbourne. We would not recommend this place to anyone if you want good honest communications, 5 star customer service and a focus on providing solutions. Words are cheap when you are tired, in pain and need a solution to a problem caused by their poor communications from the beginning. If we had the correct information up front that we asked for we would have gone somewhere else. We should have and won't be staying there again. Not good enough at $2300 for a 10 night stay.

We took advantage of the great deal being offered by Adina Pentridge Hotel in Melbourne. We stayed two nights in July 2023 and received auto room upgrade, a free drink each on both nights, plus breakfast and ground level restaurant North & Common, same building. Hotel and restaurant staff consistently friendly, knowledgeable, patient. We hope to return!

The building is fantastic. The suite had everything and more than might be expected. The view from the ninth floor was magic especially at night. On the downside, however, the inadequacies mean I am most unlikely to stay there again. It was a very cold weekend, but the air-conditioning only blew cool air. There was an on-site restaurant where the food was excellent, but the opening hours were much too limited. That a hotel of this calibre with advertised dining does not always offer breakfast is ridiculous. Even Ibis Budget offers breakfast. As well, the reception staff needed to be better trained. I am very old, with limited mobility and the weather was very cold and windy. When I asked about breakfast on site, I was made to feel that the omission was my fault, even though friends had recommended the place including the breakfast. There was no attempt to be apologetic or, sympathetic. only an abrupt offer of a cafe nearby which I couldn't walk to and certainly not in the weather at the time. I am reasonably well travelled and I cannot remember when I could not get breakfast on site, mostly I could even get room service at quality hotels. If offering breakfast had proved to be not cost effective, a smaller menu or employment of fewer staff could have been an option and certainly I expect staff who can meet guests with a more professional manner.
