We pull up and check in, the clerk whips out a calculator. $200.00. No air conditioning, dirty stained mattress. Pay the money and stay in Canmore. Pure extortion, the Big Horn is an even bigger disappointment. I would have given them negative stars but trip advisor won't let me.

The amenities at this hotel are not great. The rooms and common areas are passably clean, but are in the process of falling apart. For the amount they charge, you might think that the management would invest a bit into upgrades, but that does not appear to be happening. Most of what other reviews say is true - stay somewhere...

Very close to Highway. ..lots of traffic passing by. Rooms not particularly clean. If you are simply looking for a place to crash then this place works. if you are looking for things to do, I would suggest a place in canmore. The price is much less but up to you.

This was convenient for hiking purposes. However I will NEVER stay here again. After I'm two hours away from Canmore on the way home. They call me and tell me I left my passport there. Worried that maybe I had brought it with me, we headed back. Show up its not even my freaking passport some girl named "Irene's". Maybe...

We went on a road trip and ended up going as far as Canmore and decided to try to find a room without any success. Decided to go to Dead Man's Flats to check out the motel we passed. The owner showed us the room and being tired we said ok and checked in. The room was terrible! We already...

The Motel was ok Very old and nothing special having said that it is situated in an awesome spot. Right on the Trans Canada Highway surrounded by mountains. Gave you the feeling of being in the Alps. No continental breakfast There was a little restaurant Right next store. It was not open when we arrived but the convenience store was...

This is an economy hotel but for being peak season and getting a room last minute for 2 people and a dog ($140) I found it to be a pretty good deal. The place we rented (rm 26) was clean and the bed was very comfy. Some hair left in shower but that's minor. We've already decided to stay here...

Bighorn Hotel, Dead Man's Flats between Canmore and Kananaskis. Booked it a couple of days before arrival 'cos of late finalization of plans. Nothing available between Canmore and Banff, except for exorbitantly expensive places. This place seemed reasonable in price and looked presentable. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and saw a notice on the front door from the Alberta...

I was reading the reviews and I don't think I could possibly trash this place any more than has already been done. I'll give it the old college try though. My daughter and I were heading to Banff on a tenting trip when the sky opened up and it started to pour. We pulled into Canmore, hoping to find a...

On the front door of the office has a sign from the Alberta regulator saying the way at the motel is unsafe to drink and if you use it to wash your hands you should use hand sanitizer after. This notice was dated November 2014. If I hadn't prepaid for my room I would have left. TERRIBLE!
