When Alison welcomes you to Panorama Heights and takes you up to the lounge and out onto the deck, your breath is taken away by the spectacular view of the Waitakere Ranges and the native forest all around, with the city of Auckland in the distance. If you want to be near Auckland but away from the city this is... More

Well-chosen name with stunning views of Auckland from the deck. Very welcoming and hospitable hosts. Room was not cheap (200 NZ$) but breakfast was very elaborate and hosts had breakfast together with us which was a great way to find out more about the country.

We were surprised with the view from this lovely property. There really is a panoramic view from the deck, overlooking a lovely canopy of trees, with the city of Auckland spread out in the distance. At night the lights of Auckland and the bridge twinkle far down below. Allison and Paul are wonderful, friendly hosts with lots of information, maps... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying for a week while visiting our daughter in Waitakere. It is a beautiful home perched on a ledge that overlooks the park bush, with the city of Aukiland and the harbor in the far distance. Beautiful sunrises started the day, followed by a warm fire in the living room, and then... More

This was ouir first stop in New Zealand and it really set the bar high! We arrived jet-lagged, tired and very stressed. Allison and Paul soon settled us down and provided drinks and snacks in their spacious B & B. They sat and chatted for a while giving us ideas for eating out and places of interest to visit. They... It acccommodated three couples: My wife and I; our second son, his wife and three year old daughter as well as our daughter, her husband and their 3 month old child. The house was always full, as our son that got married, his partner and... More
