Great experience at this clean modern hotel where they have thought of all the little touches that make for a special stay. Yoga kit in the room, gorgeous Smith & Co products, sleep balm, herbal tea and pillow menu ! Clean spacious room, comfy bed, a work station and friendly helpful staff.

Hotel's Favourite
Been to BOTH Qtown & Auckland and theyre both amazing. The customer service is 5 star, the rooms are just as clean and new as queenstown was. We were fortunate enough to stay in BOTH hotels in the span of two weeks. We stayed the day after the floods and they were lucky and it felt as if the flooding pics and videos were fake, because Sudima was untouched. The parking is fine, wilsons is close by and it isnt super expensive like wev paid at other establishments. The closeness to everything is great (especially the sky tower) thats the good thng about staying at the city one. Thanks to all the staff that made our overnighter before returning bak to Perth grand

Kia Ora R C, Thank you for sharing your review of both the Sudima hotels in Queenstown and Auckland. It's great to hear that you had a positive experience at both hotels and found the customer service to be 5-star. It's also good to know that the rooms were clean and new, and that the Sudima in Auckland was unaffected by the recent floods. It's always reassuring when hotels are able to handle unexpected events without disrupting their guests' stays. The proximity to attractions and the Sky Tower in Auckland is also a plus, and it's good to hear that the parking options were convenient and reasonably priced. I'm sure the staff at both hotels appreciate your kind words and are glad to have contributed to making your stay enjoyable. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we hope to welcome you back to Sudima in the future. Kevin Dias Hotel Manager

We're on an escorted trip and stayed here for two separate nights. Hotel clean and tidy. Not disappointed on either. Excellent breakfast and dinner, worthy of an expensive restaurant. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

I experienced frustration while communicating with the hotel staff regarding lost property. I promptly called the hotel multiple times to inquire about the lost items, and each time, I was assured that I would receive a callback with information. Unfortunately, I never received any callbacks. On the third day, after persistently calling, I was finally connected to the duty manager who informed me that there was nothing left in the room. This prolonged and inefficient process has left me incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied with the level of service provided. While I understand that lost items may not always be recovered, the lack of communication and the delays were frustrating.

Sudima is a fabulous little gem. We were booked to stay here for 2 nights. The room was incredibly clean and tidy and had some lovely little finishing touches to it like the yoga corner. It is a small room as mentioned by other reviewers, but perfect when you aim to explore Auckland city. I would throughly recommend other travellers to stay here!

The hotel is at one of the best possible location in Auckland, neat and clean with not very grand entrance and restaurant but that is not a dealbreaker. The most important thing is the room where we have to spend most of the time. I was given a U Room who was so congested that it didn't had a place to keep my 3 luggage bags. It didn't had a cupboard either. I requested them if they have bigger rooms but they said that all rooms are of same size except suit rooms. But the suit room was not available that day and the price difference they asked was too much. I stayed there because it was booked by a friend but 2 days later I just barged into another room on the same 9th floor during cleaning and I found it was bigger and of decent size. For last 2 days I paid the extra price(this time it was reasonable) for suit room and shifted there. The suit room was certainly very good with very nice view and it was worth the money. Everything in the room was of good quality including a bath tub. They don't provide much toiletries except basics like soap and shampoos. Parking is available with a price. I didn't tried it's pure vegan restaurant neither I went to it's 10th floor bar which has a very nice view. I can guess that because the view from 9th floor was excellent. The rooms has two kind of view, one city side and 2nd, harbour side. Corner rooms are good for city view and rest I found harbour view better, but it is completely my personal test. Overall, I will certainly stay in this hotel if I will get the suit room in reasonable price. Will never stay in U room....

Kia Ora Singhsaheb, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your detailed review and are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the prime location of our hotel and found it to be neat and clean. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with the initial room assignment. It's regrettable that the U Room did not meet your expectations in terms of space and storage for your luggage. We understand the importance of a comfortable stay, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked to address the situation. We're glad to hear that you were eventually able to upgrade to a suite, and we're pleased that it exceeded your expectations with a nice view and high-quality amenities, including a bathtub. We strive to provide our guests with a variety of room options to suit their preferences, and we regret any confusion that may have occurred during your initial request for a larger room. Your feedback regarding the limited toiletries has been duly noted, and we will review our offerings to ensure a more comprehensive selection for our guests in the future. Additionally, we appreciate your mention of the parking availability and the different views from the rooms. Once again, we appreciate your valuable feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, ensuring a more seamless and enjoyable stay. Kevin Dias Hotel Manager

Sudima Auckland city Hotel very clean. Pretty modern with in room Amazon Alexa to give you weather & wake you up. Extra towels came quickly. East Restaurant- East Asian vegetarian really very good. Wine selection by the glass very nice. Service at front desk very good. Exceptional from Anrit; helpful at check in / check out; always ready to assist. Hotel walking distance to Sky Tower. Close to Queen St. About a 15-20 minute to harbour front, where you get a ferry to other areas (like Devenport and Waiheke Island) . About a 15 minute ride to huge War Memorial Museum. (way more than that but separate review & also winter garden) City is a bit hilly -for those who have any trouble walking grab a taxi or an Uber. Only thing keeping me from excellent is breakfast (though to be fair included buffet breakfasts at hotels on our whole trip didn't measure up to other countries) that could use improvement is breakfast item choices. More hot items would be nice and cooked to order eggs would be fabulous.

Kia Ora mas1958, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed various aspects of your stay with us, including the cleanliness of the hotel, modern amenities such as the in-room Amazon Alexa, and the prompt delivery of extra towels. It's great to know that you found the East Restaurant's East Asian vegetarian offerings to be excellent, along with a commendable wine selection by the glass. We appreciate your kind words about our front desk service, particularly Anrit, who went above and beyond to assist you during check-in, check-out, and throughout your stay. We will make sure to pass on your compliments to Anrit for delivering exceptional service. Your insights about the hotel's proximity to key attractions like the Sky Tower, Queen Street, and the War Memorial Museum are valuable for future guests. We understand that the city's hilly terrain might pose a challenge for some, and your suggestion to use taxis or Uber is helpful for those who may prefer that option. We also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the breakfast experience. We take guest feedback seriously, and your comments about the breakfast item choices and the desire for more hot items, including cooked-to-order eggs, have been duly noted. We continuously strive to enhance our offerings, and your input will certainly be taken into consideration for future improvements. Once again, thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future. Small room. Location is very difficult to access from a bus. Our tour bus had to let us out on the street beside the hotel, and we had to wheel our luggage up a steep sidewalk to get to the front door. Only some staff are knowledgable about the city they work in. One clerk made some calls for us to try to find out taxi prices. Dining room is vegan/vegetarian for dinner. Breakfast buffet had meat and eggs, but like so many of the breakfast buffets we encounter, the hot food was cold and rubbery. Is there anything worse than buffet scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages? This Sudima didn't hold a candle to Sudima City in Christchurch!

Our family stayed at the Sudima while we attended the World Cup games, and I would definitely stay there again! It's well located -- we walked most of time, but Ubers and buses were easily accessible! The rooms were the size you would expect for a city hotel (read: a little on the small side), but everything was well thought out. The beds and linens made for a luxury experience -- and the room was exceptionally quiet, despite being in the city and near the elevator! The aspect that makes this hotel top notch, however, was the staff! Everyone was so ridiculously helpful and friendly!
