Some many cities have minimum numbers of actual bars operating w/o much food service if any. What we usually encounter are eating establishments with very little actual bar space nor bar stools. Not conducive to having drinks. But they do serve drinks. Now back to these rare drinking establishments which sometimes have bar stools and high top and four top...

Location is pretty good, within walking distance of all sights. Unfortunately a bit noisy from the other rooms, no A/C. If you are looking for a quick stay in Auckland it is ok. For a longer stay in Auckland it is not recommandable.

This hotel is not suitable for people with restricted mobility as there is no lift in the hotel. Unfortunately this room was very run down and overpriced for what it was. The room was clean but needed some maintenance. Our TV didn't work but this may have been due to construction going on near by. The receptionists were very helpful...

This pub is great. Trendy, clean, comfortable and friendly staff! I had a $10 steak, chips and salad for lunch on a Wednesday, and it was fantastic! Worth every dollar! On another night i had the lamb shanks, upgraded to get a 2nd shank and it was great. A friend had a burger and he was also impressed, with the...

I only visited the bar/pub here. Would not stay in the hotel which looks ancient. The pub is in a great location , has a good range of beers and wines and if you are in the area late or are an insomniac, it is handy to know this place stays open until 2 am at least. That kind of...

We had dinner there last night as we are staying nearby while holidaying in Auckland. The meals are good hearty ones and quite ok . We had a lovely chicken salad and the special for the night was a good size rump steak for $15 , can't do much better than that. They have TAB facilities and the pokies there...
