Joy, the Inn Keeper, was well, "a Joy". After helping us unload our bags and settle in, she took us on a "guided" one hour hike to Mt Victoria and downtown Devenport. Her breakfast was outstanding. Served on our balcony with a large variety of local fresh fruits accompanying perfectly prepared scrambled eggs and meats. One of the few B&Bs...

Joy and Howard made our stay unique. Joy gave us a walking tour of the area covering the history of New Zealand. The house is beautiful a located in the best part of Devonshire. It's close to the ferry, shops and restaurants. Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent 5 perfect days with Joy and Howard at Admiral's Landing. The warmth of their welcome, the comfort, their care and attention to detail, the personally guided tour of Mt Victoria, the wealth of local information, the fabulous breakfasts, made this stay one of the highlights of our 6 week touring holiday. Admiral's Landing is in a...

We arrived in Auckland early in the morning from Los Angeles and my wife was suffering from severe tooth ache. We went to Admirals landing in the hope of getting advice on local dentists. We were immediately taken in by Joy and she arranged an appointment with her dentist only a couple of hours later. The accomodation is very well...

We arrived at Joy and Howards home, to be greeted with a warm welcome, Joy and Howard's home is a wonderful place to stay after a long flight, and before you set off to explore New Zealand. On the waters edge in the small town of Devonport, Auckland's skyline is the view from Admirals Landing - quite something in the...

It is some fifteen years since we last visited Auckland, this time we chose to try a B & B in Devonport rather than a hotel in the city. We were delighted with Admirals Landing, its location near the naval yards brought back memories for my husband who was once in the NZ Navy, its proximity to great restaurants within...

This is an excellent place to stay. The hosts, Howard and Joy,could not have been more helpful and the breakfasts are amazing. Would we go back when we visit North Island again? Definitely.

Joy and Howard are the most wonderul and informative hosts you could wish for, nothing was too much trouble, we felt like part of the family. A lovely clean waterfront room with a very comfortable bed ensured two wonderful nights sleep, followed by delicious breakfasts, the fruit platter was superb. Devonport village is full of interesting shops, lovely cafes, restaurants...

Situated on the waterfront affording wonderful views of Auckland, with two minute access to the passenger ferry to the city centre. A peaceful spot for a good night's rest in lovely spotless accommodation. Hosts Joy and Howard are most friendly, helpful, generous and accommodating. They couldn't do enough for us, ensuring our time with them is unforgetable. New Zealand should...
