Whist in Auckland we decided to jump on a ferry and head to Devonport for Lunch. The Esplanade Hotel is the first place you see and is well worth a visit. Lunch by the fire in the old bar was Sensational. Service and Food were...More

Hi and many thanks for your review. I am pleased that you had an enjoyable time here. The building is well over 100 years old which is charming. The menu is deliberately targetted at the local, substantial and low cost. And, the fire does encourage...More

Well worth checking out this updated hotel that still retains a great deal of period charm and features. Ideally located close to the ferry terminal, the bar offers a good selection of beers, wines and food.
