Spot on. Excellent welcome, staff, food and beer. Room a little small but no complaints. Jolly good full breakfast with some of the best coffee I've ever tasted Nicely off the "beaten track" and I am planning to return. I'm sure a brewery visit will be on the cards also

We booked a cottage in Hook Norton and a number of previous visitors recommended the Sun Inn which was in easy walking distance. The recommendations were spot on. Excellent food all round and reasonably priced. Only issue was a chocolate free dessert menu. Not a proper dessert menu! Worth trying

We live very near The Sun and have eaten there a number of times now. We usually go for a burger and they are fantastic, my favourite being the Spanish Burger. My wife opted for the sea bass when eating out with friends and it was absolutely delicious. Add in a range of beers from our local brewery and you...

A last minute decision for a weekend away. Found availability here so booked overnight stay and table for two. Delicious meal and so beautifully looked after at dinner and breakfast - which was also excellent. We weren't looking for 'fine dining' but great pub food - which is what we had and enjoyed. Just had to add a photo of...

Not sure it's worth specifically travelling to for the food but it had a nice friendly atmosphere inside, well used by locals. No food served until 6-30pm which we always find a bit late so were very hungry by the time our food arrived. Menu was ok, food average, service good.

The Sun has become my new local since moving several months ago to the village. It has a lovely interior, spacious bar, restaurant area or sofas and armchairs for comfy seating. I've only eaten lunch here but every time the food has been brilliant. The staff are so friendly and it's a fab family pub too.

Pub quiet on a Saturday night and seemed in a hurry to clear plates etc! Fish cooked perfectly. Butternut squash soup turned out to be 90% cream. I mentioned that it was too much cream for me (not told it was cream of soup!) and the waitress just laughed! Chicken in chicken burger was dry grissly and burnt. Hope it...

When in the area on business my 'go to' resting place is The Sun Inn. Could it be the people, the food, the beer the bed or the ambience? I would suggest it is all of them. I have never had a bad meal or a bad 'pint'. I tend to leave earlier than most people so miss breakfast. On...

We stayed at the sun inn this weekend whilst visiting the Cotswold. We are a family of 4, our children are 4 and 9. We were really pleased with the b&b, the family room was very quiet with plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable which gave us all a good nights sleep, the bathroom clean and modern. The...

Me and my partner wanted to visit the Hook Norton Brewery so located a place to stay nearby. Very pleased we picked The Sun Inn, as soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Catherine and nothing was too much trouble. Clean and spacious bedroom with en-suite : ) The choice of breakfast for a start was amazing, something...
