Beautiful cottage in tranquil surrounds. The cottage was very clean, which was great as I am usually very picky about the cleanliness of pet friendly cottages. We loved being able to have our beloved dog with us who enjoyed the walks around the property. We booked a package which included generous meat and cheese platters, they were so generous with the food and it was all delicious! The spa bath looking over the little Japanese garden was just perfect. The hosts were friendly and kind without being intrusive. There are no fences around the cottage so your dog must be supervised when outside or kept on lead, there is a tiny enclosure with kennel provided which we did not use. Overall a relaxing and comfortable stay in a great location to explore the region.

I can not recommend this place more highly. There is everything you need in the one cottage. A great fireplace with a huge amount if wood supplied with ample kindling/paper and the hosts dropped off more to us as per our request first thing the following morning. Amazing breakfast provisions... tea, juice, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, various cereal, muesli... who could ask for more!
Soap, shampoo, bath salts etc all provided as well.
The view from the cottage
Is spectacular. Surrounded by chestnut trees with leaves covering the ground.
The beds are super comfy... bedding abounds, extra pillows and blankets and electric blankets on all beds keep u warm and comfy. Couch is perfect for lounging.
Netflix, Stan, Amazon Prime, Disney + , DVD’s, books, games, it’s all there for you.
Towels are great.
Place is spotless and well kept.
Thks Rachael
We will be back again

We stayed here just for one night for my birthday. It was so peaceful, the spa was fantastic, breakfast provisions were excellent and plentiful. Would love to come back and stay for a few days next time.

My family of 2 teens and 2 adults had the pleasure of staying at Chestnut Glade for a few nights during some pretty turbulent weather outside. What a special place to be in those conditions! Warm fire place, plenty of dvd's to choose from, peace and quiet ensured that everyone felt rested and recharged and safe despite the winds and rain outside. The full breakfast provisions were more than adequate as were some other nice touches such as candles, crisp sheets, spa bath, board games and laundry facilities. We wanted somewhere away from the crowds, yet close enough to venture if we needed to, somewhere beautiful and peaceful and we found it here.

After a little searching for a family friendly cottage in the area, we selected Chestnut Glade and their Lucenti cottage.
Comfortably accommodating 2 adults and 2 kids, we found the cottage to be spacious and well furnished, without being luxurious or over the top.

The setting is extremely quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Nestled between rows of chestnut trees (albeit bare at the time of our visit) the location is only a few hundred metres from the main road but you wouldn't know it. The property is frequented by wallabies, kookaburras and ducks adding to the country feel.

What I loved about this place was how well stocked the cottage is on arrival.
The fireplace was set with kindling and papers, ready to be lit and had a massive pile of logs in storage next to it ready for use. (although I did buy some more kindling during our stay)
The fridge and cupboards were jam packed with breakfast provisions:
A giant bowl of fresh eggs, milk, juice, bread, bacon, yoghurt, butter, mushrooms and tomatoes. The cupboard had a range of preserves and cereal.
Plenty of food to provide breakfast feast for all three mornings.

The location is ideal for touring the are in all directions.
10 mins from Marysville
20 mins from Healesville (gateway to the yarra valley gourmet region)
20 mins from Buxton (trout farm)

Contact from the owners is pretty much non-existent so you are left to your own devices to enjoy the stay in peace. The other cottage is about 100m away, but far enough not to be a bother.

All in all I highly recommend this cottage for a family stay in the area.

We had the best time at Chestnut Glade. It was autumn when we visited to there was a bright carpet of orange leaves all over the property. The Cottage we stayed in was beautiful, modern and very clean. The owners had thought of everything. There was things to make breakfast in the fridge, a fire place and a vast array of DVDs to watch. The selling point was the massive spa bath! We had fun climbing the chestnut trees. It is a little out of the way so i recommend stocking up with meal essentials beforehand.

My partner and I stayed in the Nanking cottage and we both had such a relaxing and memorable stay. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. While we didn't use the open fireplace, it would be very nice during the winter months. The cottage has amp,e space for a romantic stay and the bathroom was amazing! The spa bath was so relaxing and a perfect way to finish off the day! Breakfast provisions were provided and was plenty for two people for two nights. The property itself is big and great for exploring, with plenty of natural wildlife.

The location is great too - around a 15 minute drive from Healsville and 10 minutes drive to Marysville. Loved our weekend away and would highly recommend.

Surrounded by beautiful scenery, it feels isolated enough for complete quiet but close enough to Marysville and the awesome Black Spur. Lovely small walk through owner's wood too, good for kids.

Trout farm 5 minutes away for easy fishing with kids.

Cottage (Lucinta) very clean, open fire, stocked with food essentials.

Owner friendly and reasonable on checkout time.
