I stayed one night at this Motel. It is good average accommodation, clean and quiet. It has a very functional breakfast/ social room with micro wave, coffee maker and a good continental breakfast. What makes this motel special is Lana on the front desk. She plays lovely music in the lobby, is efficient, cheerful and very helpful; including advice on...

We chose to stay here because it is convenient for early departures on the Uchuck. It was nice to have a room with 3 separate beds (though I would have preferred that my bed not already be occupied...least of all by a large spider!). There is lots of seating outdoors which was nice given the hot weather. If weather is...

Nice the nicest accomodation but tolerable for one night as we were cruising the next day. Every run down rooms which are in need of a remodel. The staff were very, very accomodating and friendly to make up for the conditions.

We stayed one night at Gold River Chalets, the room was clean, comfortable, quiet. The social room is great for breakfast and getting the group together.. we headed out to backpack 6 days Hesquiat Penninsula, but plans changed.. Thankfully Gold River Chalets was able to accommodate us for another 2 nights. Lana was great, always friendly and helped with our...

Stayed here for one night prior to MV Uchuck trip. This is a basic hotel but has a great "community room" which made it an enjoyable stay. The "community room" provided coffee, tea and breakfast fixins. Cereals, milk toast etc. The community room was a great place to meet fellow travels and many used it for a dining room with...

Spent two nights here before and after Uchuck trip (highly recommended). It is not a fancy place but is clean, warm and comfortable. There is a good common room where we could help ourselves to tea and coffee and eat our own food. Self-service breakfast was plentiful. The lady at the front desk (owner?) is really helpful and welcoming; we...

We stayed here a family group as we were heading on the Uchuck early the next morning. The hotel is easy to find. The owner who checked us in could not be more helpful. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and do the job. The buffet breakfast was more than we expected - all self service and hit...

Quiet, informative and very welcoming management. We spent three nights and were happy we did. Well organized clean rooms , great bed, simple convenient breakfast provided, lots of fun local trails in the area (ask at desk), convenient base for Uchuk. Close to good restaurant (Ridge Roadhouse). We'd return.

Great little place with friendly staff. Not fancy but clean and felt very "homey". Books available for those who forget to bring their own reading material. They let us leave our vehicle for 3 days while we were fishing in the coast, no extra charges.

This is a friendly little place. Looks like it is from the '60s, concrete block construction so pretty good soundproofing. Very clean and well maintained. Not all rooms have AC but you seldom need it here. We had our window wide open all night and literally drank in the sweet forest air...beautiful. Comfortable bed but fairly thick foam pillows...forgot to...
