Critter Cove is a floating resort that also has cabins on land. It is a family run business. They really focus on "family" and couples. This is not a party type of fishing resort. Their focus is children and couples of all ages. It's quiet time at 10 pm and that's by design. Fisherman are up early and out enjoying...

Rooms are fine for fishing. Restaraunt is ok. But the owner and his family are incredibly rude and treat guests as though they are being done a favour by being allowed to stay. There are far better options in Nootka sound if you want to fish.

I had the pleasure of staying at Critter Cove for a few days with my spouse and friends. I loved every detail of this place. From the friendly service, great food and spotless cabins and showers. The fishing was great and the company even better. We have visited many lodges across Canada and this one is at the to of...

Stayed there for the first time ever. Rooms were nice and the fishing was awesome. Would have been the best trip ever if the owners dad wasn't there. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in my life. If I wasn't holding three salmon I might have drowned him. You are the rudest "host" ever. You embarrassed your...

A little gem hidden in Nootka Sound. This floating fishing lodge is well equipped and cozy, easy to get to from Gold River, less than an hour by small boat. The basic cabin for two seemed a bit pricey at first but upon arrival I quickly realized it was worth the money. The cabins are clean there is a restaurant...

Catherine and Bryce the crew of the good ship Mako were amazing hosts who knew where the fish were and had the Nootka Knowledge to invite them to our boat. The weather and scenery was spectacular and the dockside hospitality from Cam and crew was perfect. With a total of six keen guys they both had no problems keeping us...

Don't stay here. When you go to book you are told by a most unhelpful booking clerk that there are no openings and then you find out that there were lots of rooms available, I went to pay my bill and they charged me with someone else's restaurant tab. No apology. In fact the owner made it out that it...

This amazing family run fishing lodge is one place everyone should put on their bucket list. The Forbes family and staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The cabins are well equipped, clean and cozy. The home cooked meals in the restaurant are fabulous and the fishing is pretty great...

I have been to Critter many times over the past dozen years and would highly recommend it. You must come expecting somewhat of a rustic experience as this floating lodge is located in a fairly remote area of BC's west coast and is almost entirely floating on water. That said, you will be met with simple clean rooms, warm showers,...

I have been coming to Critter Cove for the past 18 years, and over that time have brought in in excess of 50 friends and relatives, and friends of friends for an experience of a lifetime. Some of these visitors have come from 7 or 8 states and just about all of our provinces. Critter Cove is a must go...
