Dated and antiquated. Thats the inpression the car park and exterior gives as you pull into the very large and somewhat hazardous car park. (There are pot holes everywhere and un marked hazards). Not knowing what to expect for £50 we approached the main door. Upon entering and glancing around we were met with a social type club straight from...

I booked 2 nights here with some trepidation, given some of the reviews. My experience however was fine. The hotel is a 3 star building and it has seen a good few years service. However my room was clean, I had a large double bed and the shower was modern and worked perfectly. Breakfast was included and was a buffet...

I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was by far the worst. Carpets were threadbare, wallpaper coming off the walls, tiles coming off the walls in the bathroom, very badly stained bath, black damp marks around bath and windows, bedroom furniture looked like it had come from a junk yard, scruffy cover on the bed although...

My husband and I took a friend to this restaurant for Sunday Lunch Carvery. The meal was beautiful nice and hot and the service was good staff friendly. The hotel could do with refurbishing it's a bit old fashioned and worn but clean and comfortable and lively food.

Thirty years ago this was pretty posh spot. Now a House of Horrors for too many reasons. Feels like a hostel for the homeless. Always a bad sign when you're asked to pay for the room on arrival. Paper thin walls and a rowdy clientele mean that a good sleep is near impossible. Trading Standards would have a Field Day...

I stayed in room 143 for three days while I had a court case in town (which I won!). The hotel is an odd sort of place. Its as far removed from a Travelodge as its possible to get. The hotel is dated in a sort of shabby chic way. It like a cross between a visit to your grannies...

Best carvery by far. Lovely food. Place itself is a bit old and could do with a facelift but the food i cannot fault. Big car park so easy access. Show the football but doesnt get rowdy. Nice family meal for small prices.

I stayed at the hotel as its within walking distance to the James Cook University Hospital at Middlesbrough. I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. the room was clean and the bathroom spotless. Breakfast was very nice and often freshly cooked (rather than off the hot plates). I ate one evening meal here (braised beef, mash...
